When you open the front door, there should be a sliding lever attached
to the door on the left side. This lever should pull out when you open
the door. If it does not due to becoming detached, you should pull it
out by hand. Now you should be able to remove the drum. Check the door
and see why the lever became detached. You should be able to remove the
door and pick up a new one at your local Broother service centre. One
other thing to note, sometimes people will use generic toner
cartridges. I have seen these toners get jammed up and break the gears
inside the machine. If this is the case, you will most likely have to
bring it in to a service centre.
How to run a report on a fax machine?
To run the auto dial and speed dial report you need to do the following:
Press Menu, 5, 2, then Start. The display will prompt you to the correct numbers. This will give you a list of pre-programmed numbers.
How to set the date
Your MFC displays the date and time and if you set up the Station ID
it prints on every fax you send. If there is a power failure, you may
have to reset the date and time. All other settings will not be affected.
1 Press Menu, 0, 2.
2 Enter the last two digits of the year.
Press Set.
3 Enter two digits for the month.
Press Set.
(For example, enter 09 for September, or 10 for October.)
4 Enter two digits for the day.
Press Set.
(For example, enter 06 for 6th.)
5 Enter the time in 24-Hour format.
Press Set.
(For example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 P.M.)
6 Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD now shows the date and time whenever the MFC is in
Standby mode.
