I would not do this. It may damage the internal hose material. I recommend using Keurig's method for cleaning: run 3 cups of white vinegar through it, let it stand 4-3 hours (or longer) then rinse it well by running several tanks of water through it. That will remove all hard water residue within the unit. Also clean out the needles that pierce the cup, top and bottom, with a paper clip, since they often have coffee grounds plugging them.

Descale it again with vinegar and leave it for 15-24 hrs before brew rinsing, (instead of 4 hours as mentioned on the manual) #3 some said, turning it upside down and giving it a shake, #4. visibly check the screen on the the water reservoir tank entrance clean if there's any visible clog. #5 Still having a problem, then, for the last resort, before deciding on replacing the diaphragm pump, open the bottom metal part (5 screws), inspect for any visible drip of water (accumulation of white hard water stains, or discoloration on the metal) visualize where it's coming from. Mine is on 2 areas--from the diaphragm pump (where there's 3 black screws) and where the connection of the main pump to the reservoir. This is good news, it means nothing wrong with the pumps. it's just been leaking a little bit of water on the connection (must be air tight, any leak will decrease the pressure). The common sense FIX: depress the metal clamp and pull the plastic tube out, clean the inside and the connection and re-attach it back making sure the little leak will stop. same with the other one then, then replace the other smaller tube with a new tie wrap and make sure it's air tight. Basically you just check all the hose connections make sure it's air tight..

there are a few things that can cause this; 1) You may need to clean the needle in the coffee exit where the coffee pod sits and gets pierced when the top is closed. You do this with a needle, be careful the point of the piercing nozzle is sharp and the needle point is as well. 2) There is also a needle in the cup holder under the pod that cuts the hole for the coffee stream, this needs to be cleaned with the needle. 3) The filter in the water tank may be plugged and needs to be cleaned. 4) The pump may be clogged with lime and scale. 5) The heater element may be scaled with lime. 6) Items #3 to 5), to fix this use DE-scalier, or vinegar solution, the pickling strength works better than household variety, but both are OK. 7) run the cycle for coffee, no pod, 3 times, this should clear the taste of the vinegar. Do not send it to them. The guy that suggested this is totally wrong! They will not accept it. No one will accept anything back without a RMA. Check keurig.com to see if there is a recall. The only one I just saw was a recall on what I think is one of the new 2.o models. They will tell you how to proceed if they determine you yours is bad. I was told to send them my K-Cup holder as proof of purchase when they agreed mine was defective. I just checked Keurig.com. The only recall currently is for the K10 mini brewer.

Have you tried descaling your Keurig? This should improve the volume of water coming out of the coffee maker.

Any place that heat and liquid can get trapped, mold can occur. This is why descaling is important for traditional coffee makers and even for tea pots. Basically, keep your stuff clean. Biofilm Slime Bacteria inside the inner tubes of the Keurig Coffee maker

I just blew a small amount of compressed into the upper needle to clean out the water line to the coffee cartridge . I guess you could use a pin or toothpick to loosen the debris where the needle enters the coffee cartridge as it seems this is where the blockage most likely occurs. I did not disconnect anything but was careful not to use to much air pressure. After cleaning the line I ran a cycle without a cartridge to flush out the line. I have not had a problem for months after doing this. I guess you should on occasion run a clean cycle.

It may be clogged up with hard water scale. Fill the reservoir with white vinegar. Place an empty coffee mug in the unit and continue to run vinegar through it until the reservoir is empty enough that it is asking you to add more water. Leave the unit alone and let the vinegar stand in the unit for 8-12 hours. Fill the reservoir with water and run water through the device (you might want to do this several times in order to make sure the vinegar is completely gone). Also check to make sure that the piercing unit is not clogged with coffee grounds. Hope this helps.

There are a couple reasons that the B70 might stop in the middle of brewing so one cannot be certain. The first one is where there are calcium carbonate deposits on the heating element and as the water in the boiler is agitated during pumping there is inadequate heating from the heating element and the thermostat shuts the brewing off when cooler water rises to the thermostat. Try running a mixture of 50/50 white vinegar through the unit a couple timesxto dissolve the calcium deposits or descale the unit per Keurig instructions. Secondly, it could be a faulty thermostat. If you are not handy, mechanically oriented I suggest buying a new one is best, least expensive. I believe that keurig coffee makers are able to brew 5000 cups without a problem. However our experience is that units with more than 5000 brews are prone to leakage, electricalr problems.

I looked at a video on the Keurig Customer site. The serial number on my unit which is a K10 is the bar code number located on the bottom of the unit. I removed the drip tray and turned the unit upside down. On other units it may be on the back wall of the drip tray housing. You have the remove the drip tray and shine a light into the slot. Once again it is the black/white barcode label with a number. I don't know where it is on your unit but it is somewhere and should also be the barcode label. Hope this helps.

Remove the water reservoir clean the inside and dry. Pull the filter screen and rinse. Put 2 cups of water in the container and shake well for a few minutes. Empty and Dry again. Reset as per the manual, fill to the line and with the filer removed, do a dry run without the kcup in place.

I am having the same problem. I have tried descaling and also tried to clean the needles with a paper clip, but to no avail. It will do one cup of vinegar right after I clean the needles and then stops.

I had the EXACT same problem with mine. There are some really good videos on you tube, but trust me, the process to fix is going to be a pain and cost ~$50. I returned mine at Bed Bath and Beyond and exchanged for a new B75 -- no questions asked. Their is a known problem with the B65/70 models and it appears the retailers are being very generous on exchanges....

The plastic is safe and the interior heater compartment is like all other makers and uses the same metal components.
