the solution is as such, first log into your router by typing the routers IP (192.168.2.1) into your browser.

The first thing you want to do is set UPnP to be enabled.

Forget about the 88 UDP thing, it's bogus.

Just set the TCP and the UDP to 3074 in virtual server.

Please ensure the proper physical connection from modem to router and to the computer as mentioned on the box and make your all lights are on modem.After that turn on the router,if your have a cable modem, you can very well go for a hard reset,that it is at the back of your router you would see a reset button which is a button inside a hole. Please hold the button for 20 secs with power on router and 20 seconds without power continuously for 3mins (remember to hold the reset button through out 3 mins while plugin and plugout the power cord of the router and use pin or pen to hold the button).
