Pick up detection to internet, but wont let me on

Did you restart your computer? If so, I'd power down everything (modem, router and computer) and restart them in that order - modem, router, computer. My guess is that the router and computer addresses are not in sync.

Belkin F5D7234-4 V5 MODEM LIGHT AND INTERNET LIGHT

Is this a new router - or should I say did you only have the one computer hooked to the modem until now? Some ISPs use the MAC address of the installed PC to assign the network IP address. Since the Router will have a different MAC address, the modem will not recognize it. ISPs use this as security, but it makes networking impossible. However, most routers have a feature called MAC spoofing, which allows the Router to fake the modem into believing it is the computer originally attached to the modem. On newer routers this is a feature that can be automatically done during the setup wizard. You need to have the original PC hooked to one of the router ports (not WAN or INTERNET) and when the router asks you if you want to use the MAC spoof, say yes.

I lost the cd to install Belkin D36094, how can I

Most routers can be setup by typing their IP Address in the address bar of your browser. So long as your router is connected to your modem and your computer is connected to your router that is.Typing

192.168.2.1

into the address bar could get you to the login screen of your router. Then you would just have to enter the user name and password. You might even be able to access a wizard from there to help you set up your router. If that doesn't work you could try 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.0 etc.

Any way to boost signal

Unfortunately the range on a G router is usually reliable to about 200 ft or so, depending on obstructions. There is no way to boost the 802.11g signal. You'd be looking at upgrading your router and card to 802.11n, which would give you increased range. .

Can't get to router setup page.

Have you attempted resetting the router?

There's a small hole in the back of the router. Find a paperclip, unravel it, then stick it into that hole. Once inserted and you know the paperclip has reached the end of the hole, press in. Hold it in for about 30 seconds and the router will be reset.

NOTE: Resetting the router restores it to factory default settings (most of the time). This means any settings you have changed since then will have been erased! Reset the router at your own discretion.

If resetting the router doesn't do the trick, let me know. I'll find some instructions for forcefully accessing the control panel.
