i'm not sure with your question.every wireless has it own default username and password, does'nt it? just press the reset button and connect to it with the ip, username and password that you can read on the back of your wireless

You need to encrypt your wireless router. Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1 The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password. I would suspect the other devices, what every they may be.

You Can Try Changing the Wireless Channel on the Router you have 11 Different Channels Available.

> Steps to change the Channel

- Open Internet Browser on Hard wired computer & Go to 192.168.2.1

- Towards your Left Corner Under Wireless Click on Channel & Ssid

- Leave the Password Blank Click on Submit

- Change the Wireless Channel To Number 1 or 6 or 11.

- Click on Submit

- Check the Signal Strength

- If you Still Have Low Signal Strength you Can Try Updating the Firmware or Changing the Wireless Mode to G only... :)

Unfortunately the range on a G router is usually reliable to about 200 ft or so, depending on obstructions. There is no way to boost the 802.11g signal. You'd be looking at upgrading your router and card to 802.11n, which would give you increased range. .

if your in a metal shed then the best way would be to mount a outdoor type access point to boost signal or just hardwire it

Have you attempted resetting the router?

There's a small hole in the back of the router. Find a paperclip, unravel it, then stick it into that hole. Once inserted and you know the paperclip has reached the end of the hole, press in. Hold it in for about 30 seconds and the router will be reset.

NOTE: Resetting the router restores it to factory default settings (most of the time). This means any settings you have changed since then will have been erased! Reset the router at your own discretion.

If resetting the router doesn't do the trick, let me know. I'll find some instructions for forcefully accessing the control panel.

The router should have no effect on the TV.

If this is a CRT display, then magnetism causes distortion. Be it electric motors, fluorescent lamps, North and South poles of the earth depending on TV's facing, other CRT's, etc....

When changing the advanced settings on the Belkin router, you should change the default password.

To change the password, go to Administrator Password. Type in a new password. Make sure you remember the password, otherwise, you will need to reset the router back to default settings.
