Lamp life for this model is 2 years or 2000 hours, less if a non Mitsubishi lamp is used, sounds like a bad lamp.

Hered a pop sound and now tv wont work
From what I researched, after changin a bulb on these TV's some capacitors fail and "pop" on the DM board, You will have to take it apart and re-cap the caps on the DM board 1000uf 10v (4 - 7 of them). This solves the problem in most cases

WHERE CAN I FIND THE BALLAST IN THE MITUSUBISHI WD 52532 MODEL
hint: the two pins the lamp plugs onto go directly to the ballast which is really a power supply for the lamp.not clear from all you have said if ballast is the problem===these sets had a lot of issues; anything, even too much dust on the fans inside will shut it down...........

Hi,
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

The lamp light is blinking
You may have not plugged the lamp in fully or have not put the lamp door back properly. If you have done this properly and have the blinking problem then you are likely to have a bad ballast. This ballast supplies the voltage to light up the lamp. But first look on the front of the set for a small push button that says "system restore/reset". Use a ball point pen to press.

My WD-52531 is darker in
hello,
Try first cleaning all the lenses from inside the TV'S projector DLP projection TV's are very prone to dust accumulation because of spinning mechanical and lenses..To do the cleaning you need to open the back cover of your TV use a soft cloth to wipe all the dirt and dust from the lenses be carefull not to apply a force you might break the lenses.clean also the projection lamp.you can also replace the lamp if the lamp is not bright or nearly to be busted.....do first the cleaning and lets see if this resolve the problem....good luck and please post back if you need further assistance...

Wd-52531 color is being overpowered
Hi, You are most likely seeing the effect of a defective optical engine. This is the part that processes and projects the picture onto the front screen. Physical anomolies can cause random blobs of colors and a distinct appearance of haze in the center of the pic. The only fix is to replace the engine, usually around $800 to $1000. THX

TV turns on for about a minute, then goes
That is the sound of the power relay being disengaged by the protection system of the power source which has detected a lower than normal value on one of its outputs but gets reseted every single time when the power is cut so it just cycles. This happens when a major components fails - in your case the most likely part that failed is the ballast board. To confirm that you must open the tv and test the voltages on the power source and the ballast board. This is a job for someone with at least a basic experience so it's time to call one.

I have a Mitsubishi big screen. the lamp went out
Where did you get the lamp? Did it look like original part? If not, you need to get your money back. There are a few out there selling replacement lamps that are just cheap knock-offs.

Mitsubishi WD-52531 not working after replacing
Check to make sure the lamp is in correctly and that you've closed everything up properly. If you don't close the cover, the sensors will tell the computer in the TV that the door is open and won't let the TV turn on.
Other than that, could be a bad lamp or bad ballast.
Always buy OEM lamps, or better-than-oem equivalents! Philips lighting is the best lamp manufacturer out there for these TVs. They invented the thing!
Buy from Authorized distributors, and don't buy the "cheap" stuff. savnig 20 bucks will cost you more in the long run--believe me!
