''Cavity Size 30'' message appeared, can't get rid, can't use oven
Had the same message on my display after spilling water on the cooktop. Obviously, the seal (rubber gasket) that prevents liquids getting inside the control area is not very good.I replaced the Control (p/n: 10181439 / 9761799, 2 numbers, same part) and the flat cable between the touch keypad and the Control (9762781).After turning the breaker back on, only had the message to set the clock.

Hello
The code means that either the oven is registering as too hot or the temperature sensor has shorted. Either way, the oven temperature sensor must be replaced.
Call Kitchenaid helpline and thy will put ou through the process of getting a new sensor for your range
The oven preheats, but then "cools down" before I
Most likely the problem is your bake element. When the oven is preheating it uses both the bake and the broil element. When it's done preheating it uses only the bake element, so the broil element is heating it up, and since the bake element is not working the temperature drops until it starts preheating again.
Stove locked says F2:E1
dont know how to unlock it
F2-E1 - Touch Pad (Keypad) Cable Unplugged -
Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.
It appears your timer/clock has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.$%^^&

Hi,
This is a common issue and cannot be troubleshooted. The only way to fix this is to replace the temperature probe. The error will disappear and the range would start working fine.
Please accept the solution if it's helpful. Do get back to us for any further query.
Thanks for contacting fixya.com
How do you remove the glasstop?
Glass tops can be very tricky.
Unless you know what your doing,
it might be wise to get a tech to do it.
There are elements/brackets/clips ect ect mounted to the underside of the top also.
Why do you need to remove it,??
Same problem- can't get rid
Have you called the store?
This has been a problem with this EXACT model and KitchenAid has been ignoring it for a while. Many people online (when searched) has had countless problems and resulted in them taking it back and swapping it out for another (same brand) or another (different brand)
There is really nothing that can be done since it automatically beeps when you press a button. It's shocked!
I hope this helped
