Since you did not give the model number I can't look it up. But most microwaves have a fuse or fuseable link to controls power to your unit. Unfortunately, it is only normally accessable for the interior. Suggest you go to sears parts direct and plug in your model number and see if there is a fuse or fuseable link for your unit.

F3 code

An F3 error code indicates that the keypad for the control panel is bad or has a short. This will cause the microwave to beep continuously after the set clock message appears.
On many models of microwave oven means a problem with the touch panel, (tact switches).

Replace the switch panel to fix the fault.

Hope this helps.

GE JVM1540sn1ss Microwave loses all power

It may be a loose fuse holder or a rare condition, an intermittent fuse.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

GE microwave model EMO3000CWW04 about

Hi Keith,

I see that you are having issues with your Microwave Oven.

You mentioned that you replaced the surface light and that something shorted out making a popping noise and some sparks but no light and the Fan does not work Either but everything still works.

I checked on the issue regarding your concern and you can download the Manual regarding your concern at teh GE.com website or call 1-800-626-2005.

Regarding your Concern I believe that the Fuse is Blown that is the reason why the Fan is not working and so is the Bulb that you just replaced.

Replace the Fuse and check the Bulb placements to see if there are any electrical connections that are touching each other causing a short on the Microwave.

I tried checking what type Fuse it is but it does not specify, I guess you will have to get the Fuse itself to find out since it will be labeled on it.

After doing some checking I do not see anything Else that could be wrong since you mentioned that everything Else works but for the Fan and the surface Light.

I hope that this will help.

Thank you for choosing Fixya,

It sounds like your door switches are not working right. If out of warranty it would probably be cheaper to replace the unit.

Need to replace door handle

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.

On some models, you may then have to rotate the handle to get it off.

You can find handy exploded views and order parts by model number here.

(The model should be written as JVM1660CB004. That's not an "oh" before the "C", it's a zero.)

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

My JES636WK01 microwave heats up

Disconnect the HV transformer leads from the magnetron and the capacitor. Make sure none of the wires are touching the chasis or other parts. If the loud humming sound is still present, it is the High Voltage transformer making the noise. If the noise goes away, it is the High Voltage Capacitor going bad.

*MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE TOUCHING ANY OF THE HIGH VOLTAGE LEADS! ALSO, DISCHARGE THE CAPACITOR BY SHORTING THE TWO SIDES AGAINST EACH OTHER!

GE Avantium Mirowave 120 All buttons

hello hank. you have a bad circuit board, a common problem with these units due often to repeated exposure to steam etc. The cost of a repair will vary alot so if you are thinking that way do get at least three estimates.

often folks choose to replace rather than repair as the new ones are much less costly overall, less costly to operate and have better functions. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!
