Symphonic television no sound

Hmmm, really hard to say without looking at it whether it's worth the repair or not. Do you have cable or satelite connected to it? IF you are just recieving signal "off air" in about a year it will not work by itself any more. The nation is going digital. IF it is connected to cable or satelite it will probably still work fine as long as you have an analog converter box of either kind. OR if the basic cable is analog and not switching to digital. (ask your cable company) That should help you determine whether to replace or repair. As for the sound issue it is my guess that it will probably be more complex than simple. Costing $55-$125 to fix. At that rate you can buy another as easily. MY only suggestion is buy a tv that has digital capabilities so regardless you are covered! The small TV's are still pretty cheap even with the new technologies.

Symphonic television has no sound

It's probably either a defective speaker, or something defective in the Audio Amplifier stages. If the set has an audio output jack, you could try plugging into a small stereo and see if that gets you by.

Hope that helps...

DVD/VCR connect to TV sound but no picture

I am sorry to say that this does not sound like a simple solution for your problem. It is hard to be sure without examining the situation but, If the video comes on breifly and, then goes away it sounds like something is heating up and, then opening up and, disrupting your video. It could be something in the stabilization. You will need to refer this problem to a qualified repair technician. If you want to keep the TV and, since it does work in TV mode I would suggest that if you want to use the RCA type jacks to connect a VCR/DVD or what have you that you get an RF modulator to connect thru the co-ax. This way you can connect your Cable/satelite to the co-ax connector and, your VCR/DVD player to the RCA on the Modulator. These are availible at radio shack and can also be found on ebay. I hope this helps at all. [email protected]

My Tv just started doing the same problem

Sounds like the On/Off sitch is bad to me. Be Calm my friend these things happen in life. No point in becoming angry over it. The fact is it was probably the least expensive set on the shelf when you bought it. It came with a warrenty as do the other brands And, this sort of problem can happen to ANY brand of television. That's why you get a warrenty. Also, you could have bought an extended warrenty which would have cost you more than the repair job you need for your tv. Call 18002427158 press 1 be preparred to hold about 4 or 5 minutes and ask them for a service tech in your area. I would think that this should be repairable for about $35-$55 OR look in your yellow pages and take it to any TV reapair shop in your neighborhood. Don't worry, BE HAPPY!!!! Don't forget now, very soon, if you don't have cable or satelite you will need a new tv anyway. The nation is going Digital! WOO HOOO!!!! Have a great day! Symphonic tv's are ok. I have had a 27" here for 13 years now still plays great! Although, my 6 year old Symphonic just pooped the bed. But, that's ok cause I can fix it!

Remote code

Codes for symphonic are one of the follows: 1026,1033,1038,1046,1155,1189
Hope this helps!
Most universal remotes also have a search mode. They work like this. Most want the TV turned off. Than press the button (TV) than press & hold the set button till the led comes on. Point the remote at the TV than press the volume + to increase. This will take you through the codes one digit at a time. Each time you press the + the remote moves up to the next code. This may take several minutest. Once the TV turns on press the set button again & the led will go out. That's it.

Given that both remotes work with TV2, more likely the IR sensor on TV1 is defective.
The problem could also be in the microprocessor itself as well.

Whats the tv remote code

The Directv remote isn't capable of fully emulating the native remote of the Symphonic Combo. You can get limited functionality though.

1. Move Remote slider to "AV1" position.
2. Hold down mute and select until you get 2 flashes of the green light, then release both keys.
3. Enter 20821 and observe 2 more flashes of the green light.

Next lock the volume controls to this device.

4. If you have moved the remote's slider from the AV1 position, move it back. The slider should remain on AV1.
5. Hold down mute and select until you get 2 flashes then release both keys.
6. Enter 993 and observe 2 flashes.
7. Press and release THE SELECT KEY and observe 2 more flashes.

You can control the TV's power using the big power button under the device selector.

When I turn on my symphonic tv I just get snow and no sound

If you are seeing snow on your Symphonic TV screen, it could indicate that the TV is not receiving a signal from your cable or antenna. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the cable or antenna connection: Ensure that the coaxial cable or antenna is securely connected to the TV and the wall or source.
  2. Run a channel scan: Perform a channel scan or auto-programming to ensure that the TV is tuned to the correct channels and that it is receiving a signal.
  3. Check the TV's settings: Make sure that the TV's input is set to the correct source, such as cable or antenna. Also, ensure that the TV's settings are not set to "mute" or "no sound."
  4. Try a different device: If you have another device, such as a DVD player or gaming console, try connecting it to the TV to see if it is able to display video and sound.
If none of these steps work, you may need to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.
