Well first off , what are you powering the dual from...is it "switched" power and fused? Secondly, what media are you using? A store-bought DVD or your own from a PC?

check on the main wiring harness you wil see a black box on the yellow wire. open up the cover. there is a 10 amp mini fuse inside. if it is blown replace the fuse. also check your main radio and accesssory fuses in your fuse box. if no fuses are blown check all wiring connections.

it sounds like a wiring problem i have seen these in many in dash dvd players. if you still have the manual just check your connections and your grounds there may be a short or mis matched wire

let me break it down you do not need the remote...

first put the same number in (e.g 1111 enter this number 3 times) second after the device locks on the radio hold the mute button while holding that press in the volume nob (e.g power button) hold them both till another screen comes up and enter 122164 and press ok and your all done... this solution works on all dual indash dvd players

does the display work for all other funtions?
