My machine is too fast,

According to the manual, there is no speed control on your machine. It is apparently built into the foot control unit. I suspect something is haywire with the foot controller but would suggest taking the machine and foot control unit to a sewing repair service.

I have a Brother LX3125 14-Stitch Sewing Machine

Take it back to the dealer you bought it from. But you can try changing the needle, make sure the bobbins thread is unwinding the right way, what thread are using, cotton, polyester, etc. Try changing material, needle, does it do it on Streight stitch and zigzag. Let me know about these questions.

Brother Xl 2600i keeps getting clogged from the bottom thread.

Could be a bad case of bird nesting. Remove the top thread from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. See if that makes a difference.

Machine makes banging noise

wow, taking apart and putting it back together is a big feat. I think you should check the needle and its height, could be to low and is hitting just enough to make noise and not break.

I have a brother XL -2600i, it will not sew forward only reverse, what can I do to fix this problem?

Did you just make a buttonhole? I have had several people bring a machine to me with that problem. The machine was still set on Step 3 of the machine buttonhole. Hopefully this is it because it is the simplest thing to fix! The other thing you might want to check is how long it has been since the machine was oiled. Follow the directions in your book to identify oiling spots. If you don't have a book, lay the machine on its back, take the bottom off and oil all the places where any two parts move against each other. One exception; don't get oil on the belt that goes up to the hand wheel or it will slow your machine down until it wears off. If neither works, and especially if it is a computerized machine, you will need to see a repairman.

Top thread keeps breaking

Upper thread breaking is usually a sign of incorrect threading or tension too tight, although there are other possible problems: Industrial Garment Printers Sewing Machines When threading the upper thread, be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot so the thread will seat properly in the tension disks. Avoid old thread or bargain bin thread. If the thread is fraying and breaking at or near the needle eye, then try a different type of needle with a larger thread groove that will protect the thread from fraying on rough fabric. Also, check that the thread is not hanging up on something, ie the slit on the side of the spool where the thread tail is stored. Top thread stuck near bobbin

I just had the same problem with my Brother xl 2600i.
  • Upon close inspection, I noticed and felt a tiny bur on the silver piece right where the thread was sticking.
  • I filed it smooth with an emery board.
Still not as smooth as it was before, but at least now it works.

The manual knob is difficult to turn. When you push the foot pedal, the needle will move very slowly.

Are you referring to the hamdwheel on the side of the machine?

Can not get the brother XL2600i to stitch the top

Make sure the needle has been properly installed - flat side to the back of the machine.

Thread the top thread with the presser foot up - always.

Make sure the bobbin thread is feeding from the bobbin spool in the correct direction and through the correct guides.

Hold onto the thread tail at the needle and lower (by hand and not the power pedal) and raise the needle to pull the bobbin thread to the top of the machine.

Take both thread tails under the presser foot and to the back of the machine before you begin to sew.

I just bought a brand new Brother XL 2600I and it was working great for the first day , next morning i change the thread to actually sew not just test strips . I keep getting bunches of thread or if i

Most likely your top thread is not threaded correctly. Unthread and rethread. Check with your manual to make sure you have threaded correctly. Thread bunching up on bottom indicates top thread is threaded wrongly.
