Last year frig broke. Repair ordered compressor. Before part even arrived frig began working on its own. So, we never replaced part and it's worked fine til today. Same problem. no freezing/cooling

when a COMPRESSOR it breakes is broken the problem you have is more to me like an electric-electronic problem in this case could be the electronic board this componnent controls the time for cool/freez and defroz. i think there is a problem when the freeg goes to a defrozen mode it will stay there for ever. when defrozen mode the compressor is out so the fans. i hope this helps.

My ice dispenser keep shooting out ice after I moved glass away. The ice comes out in handfuls.

Sounds like there is still ice in the Shute, the unit is design to clear the shute so ice want freeze in the shute. Just touch and allow the shute to clear. The shute doesn't get as cold as the rest is why this happens. There is a micro switch near the handle that might be sticking, but seldom does.

Lg lfx25960st not cool enough

1. What are your controls (freezer & refer) set at? LG recommends 0 deg for the freezer & 37 deg for the refer. 2. The way a modern refrigerator works is, the freezer is cooled directly and cold air then is blown into the refer section. The incoming vents in a French door LG are at the back, top. Return are at the bottom. Make certain that nothing is blocking these vents and than the refer has good air circulation. 3. Vacuum the coils at the back of the refer. A large build up of dust, dirt, animal hair etc. will affect efficiency.

My lfx25960sb lg refridgerator won't defrost it builds ice on the coils the heater looks ok

Looks cannot always tell if there is a problem with the defrost heater or defrost thermostat. Your model uses the=> 5300JK1005D Defrost Heater Assembly and the=> 6615JB2005H Defrost Sensor Unplug before working on your fridge. Can you find an ohm meter and remove he rear panel in the back of the freezer? I can walk you through this if to lie. Also tellme what type of frost pattern you see once the rear panel inside the freezer is removed. Completely frosted over? Half or less frosted over? Clump or ball of ice where the small tube enters the large copper tube on the evaporator? Just ask questions on your post here on Fixya I am here to help, Thanks, John Tripp Appliance 911 f28a03e9-6219-4f3c-9a2e-6d52fbe7999d.jpg a5f00ac2-f38c-47e4-9aec-ca6a388ed5aa.jpg

How do I replace the water line going to the water valve assembly

That sounds favourite! Let me know how you get on. Is the tubing you have left long enough? And has it gone brittle? In which case it might be a good idea to replace it at the same time as the valve

The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Ice maker fills up but

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

How do I remove the

After 9 days I imagine you have solved your problem but for those searching for an answer this is what we had to do. In the owners manual on page 15 it tells you to open the drawer fully, remove the lower basket (large one) by tilting the door. Now it states to press both hangers with your thumbs to lift it up. "Hangers" had us stumped. They are little notches, latches that you press in (depress) to release a locking effect, if I remember correctly each side has 2. This allows you to remove the white plastic rail covers. Next remove the 2 white screws; one on each rail near the bottom front. Then with both hands, hold both sides of the freezer door and pull up to separate it from the rails. We not only had to remove the freezer door but the 2 french doors as well. Hope this helped
