How do I change the screen size

By screen size I'm going to guess what your asking is how to change the resolution of the screen so that the graphics of the icons and what not are larger or smaller, since you have a laptop you are not actually able to change the size of the display itself, and with a macbook that's a older model you might be able to do a dual display setup, but if you're simply mirroring the built-in display then you are really going to bog down you're processor and VGA's performance. To change the resolution just go to "system preferences->displays". Now look for the option that says "resolution", there should be choice two options, one that says "best for display" and one that say "scaled". You're going to want to make sure that the option "scaled" has been selected, if it wasn't previously then when you select it a small menu box will now appear with different resolution matrices. I would try just selecting the matrix below the one that is currently selected to start with, if you don't like it you can always change it back to the original or keep going until you find the one that best suits your preference. if you have any additional questions or require additional help, please feel free to ask, but place them in this message string so I am notified and they are easy to find. If you found this advice useful please up vote my comment, and let us know your results! Thanks and good luck!

    My MacBook A1342 slow booting

2 Gig of RAM is not really that much. You should think about upgrading that. You might try a PRAM reset or SMC reset which will probably help you some.

How do I make my screen size smaller? It just became huge suddenly

You likely zoomed in with control-scroll up/down, try control-scroll to zoom back out. If only the font (not the windows) got larger, reset font view size with apple-0 (command-zero). HTH.

Why wont my computer turn on macbook air. what do you think?

could be a number of things including the power block faulty, a break in the power lead, the power regulator in the macbook or even it's just plain old dead. if the macbook lights come on when it's plugged in and nothing else happens when you press the power button, odds on it's just dead.

Tart up black screen and beeps

Sounds like your screen went bad. Close the lid, attach an external monitor, open lid and see if the screen appears on the monitor. Resetting the PRAM may do the trick also: You reset the PRAM by rebooting a Mac and then immediately hold down the Command+Option+P+R keys, you will then hear the Mac reboot sound again, signifying your PRAM has been reset. You must hit the key combination before the grey screen appears otherwise it won't work. Happy New Year, Kerry

    No data to macbook screen

For computers with Mac OS X 10.8 or later, if you have trouble getting your display to work with the computer, access the System Preferences menu and selection the Displays option. Then, press and hold the Option key. In the bottom right corner of the Displays window, you should see a Detect Displays button. Click that button to force the Mac OS to show all the displays, including the macbook's own display. Otherwise, try resetting the PRAM: by holding down the Command+Option+P+R keys on your keybord when you turn it on untill you hear the startup chime. Happy New Year! Kerry

Macbook - lost left speaker, data, and camera. SMC reset either way didn't fix. Running external monitor which does work

You may have to reset the PRAM. Note: To print these instructions, open Help Viewer's Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear), then choose Print.
    1. Shut down your Mac.
    2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Option, Command (?), P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    3. Turn on your Mac.
    4. Immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. Continue holding the keys down until your Mac restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    5. Release the keys.
Resetting PRAM may change some system settings and preferences. Use System Preferences to restore your settings. Happy 2015!

How can I fix my forgotten password?

You did not explain what it is that you are trying to sign in, so you get a generic solution. First, since you are being shown your previous mobile number in password help, I conclude it is not your MacBook system login, so I'll skip that. Apparently either you have mixed up your passwords, or your target website has changed your password on you (some sites have an expiration date on passwords to reduce the continued effectiveness of any hacked or otherwise stolen passwords), or your old password does not meet newer security standards. The solution then is to click on the "Forgot password" link, even if you "know" you remember it correctly. You may be asked to provide verification information, such as a security question or a mobile phone number. The website server will then send you an e-mail message containing your new password. If the account is an e-mail service to which you provided no backup address, it may try to text it to your mobile phone number. Unfortunately, you apparently did not update your profile info when you got a new mobile number. The only thing you can do in that case is look for a link to contact the website administrator and work out a procedure for securely fixing the problem (like how to prove you are the owner of the account in question).
