Mitsubishi Diamond WD-65831 65" Projection HDTV - Page 8 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Has sound but no picture. On a few minutes and
make this test and fix it. God bless you
- Use your remote
control. The first step is to inspect the batteries of the remote
control and see if they are functioning. If its power button starts to
blink several times once you turned it on, then the batteries need to be
replaced. See to it that your remote control is used within about 20 feet
from the television. Make sure also that nothing blocks the space between
the remote control and the receiver.
- Check the fan. Once the
television is turned off, it is just normal for its fan to become louder.
A projection TV actually depends on its lamp, which requires cooling so
that it will not prematurely burn out. If the room where your TV is placed
is very hot, the fan would also continue to run.
Replace
projection lamp. To properly do this,
make sure that the lamp's bulb has cooled down and the TV is unplugged.
Carefully remove the cover of the lamp's compartment using your screwdriver
(Phillips-head). Unscrew the sealed part of the lamp that can be found at the
television's rear part. Take away the old lamp cartridge and then insert a new
one. Seal the lamp with screws, replace its cover and then screw tightly.
- Reset component settings.
Usually, the problems you encounter with a projection TV may be resolved
through the resetting to its factory settings. If you experience
inaccuracies in the color, reset the television's PerfectTint/PerfectColor
capabilities. Simply press the Menu tab and then highlight "Perfect Color"
using your right key arrow. After this, press "Enter" and then "Reset" in
order to reset to factory settings. If you have audio / video problems
(VCR or DVD player), simply press "Menu" and highlight the "Reset"
option.
Reset television controls. In case you cannot fix your TV via its
component settings, there are other ways of resetting. Just select "Menu", key
in "1, 2, 3", and then press "Enter." In doing this, the TV's
manufacturer's specifications will all be restored. If your TV's power system
does not function, you should perform a complete system reset. You can do this
by clicking on Reset System button located at the TV's control panel. Your
television will be turned off and then a green light (LED) will quickly flash
for approximately one minute. Once the light has stopped flashing, your TV
should immediately turn on.
Delayed start
The new lamp just has a longer strike time than your old one. Every bulb is a little different and the strike time can be longer or shorter. If it is enough of annoyance, a new bulb would likely correct the problem.

Mitsubishi projection tv timer light is flashing
If the model begins with VS or WS or WT:ONLY 1 of 2 things can cause this problem----First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it should pull out and issecured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---Notice the one or two pairs of wires coming from the front keyboard of theset---remove the inspection plate and follow the wires to the right--you canunplug both plugs(most have two and they are marked with letters and differents so you cannot get them wrong)The idea here is to remove the front keyboard with its reset button etc fromthe circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with theremote---These sets have a Receiver that is called a DM board--(large metal box to theleft as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light willblink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up. Itis called the DM board. If disconnecting the keyboard allows the set to turn on--you have a bad resetswitch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or toremove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and removeand/or replace it.If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---thereceiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail inthat unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and notthe caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--ifyou need to know their name let me know---You can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.Let me know what more information you need--I am here to help.SD TECH
Mitsubishi WD-48511 Flashing green power light
The green light should only blink if set has been unplugged---upon plugging it back it will blink for about 70 seconds and go out----this is the set booting up and is normal. At that point you should be able to turn the set on-----what happens when you try?
We have sound but no picture from our WD62530
you could have a ballast that has gone bad especiallyif it takes the bulb a long time to brighten up. look in the front of the set and see if the bulb indicator light tells to replace bulb or lamp. then you could try to reset the tv just in case this could unset an improper setting. the correct way to reset would be found in the user manual.
What does hdmi is blocked mean
Hello!HDMI blocked could mean, that one or more HDMI inputs are turned off. In WD- series DLP TVs it's possible to disable one or more inputs, which are not to be in use, to speed up signal source switching. Most of modern sets are constantly monitoring inputs and automatically recognizing "plug"n"play" signals. blocking any input would not cause TV to shut down.Yellow(amber) light means: lamp door interlock switch is off or malfunction. green blinking: set is initializing, about to begin normal operation. So: quite possible that lamp has been replaced incorrectly or door is not tight intermittently. Last possible issue: door's interlock switch is bad. Take lamp door off and you will find the switch with blue lever on the left side of the door inside plastic compartment. Push it with your "pinky" or pencil carefully, then ask someone to turn set on. Make sure, yellow light is off, before do so. If set starts normally, observe lamp's activity: it should stay on and getting brighter, while you holding switch. If lamp stops working, while there is no "amber" light, then TV shuts off, red blinks, lamp is bad. I just had to replace lamp twice, due to defective batch of lamps with housing. 3rd time I replaced bare bulb and it solved the problem. But there was no "amber" issue!good luck,Alex.

Where could I download a copy of a service manual for mitsubishi hs-u580 vcr?
i think finding a downloadable service manual for your Mitsubishi HS-U580 VCR might take some searching, but here are a few options:
Check the official Mitsubishi website's support section. They might offer downloadable manuals for older models. Many online appliance parts stores like RepairClinic or AppliancePartsPros stock service manuals for various brands and models. Search for your specific VCR model to see if they have it available.Websites like ManualsLib or iFixit sometimes host user-uploaded service manuals. While the availability and quality can vary, it's worth checking. If online options fail, consider purchasing a physical copy of the service manual from online marketplaces like eBay or Amazon.
