Cool room will not have much effect on the inside temperature of the TV. Check for the dust on the air filters of the projector & clean them. Inside the projection TV there is thermal sensor which senses the temperature. If it is more than the maximum recommended temperature set by the manufacturer, it shows the above message. It is quite likely that your TV's thermal sensor is not functioning or a fault has occurred in the sensing circuit.

You need to replace the lamp. Probably it's life is over. Over the time brightness of the lamp dips.

So far I have had no good luck with Mitsubishi. I have had them send me two bulbs and had the tv repaired in the two years I have owned it. My last tv lasted 14 years with NO issue and didn't cost me $1400!! I have been told there is an air flow problem and power supply problems which both lead to low lamp life. I think that if Mitsubishi wants to avoid a class action lawsuit they need to start giving away free lamps for this model. Also, this is not localized to just the 52" tvs. My wifes ex has the 62" and it has the same issues.

No,sorry ur tv it is not worth as whole tv anymore,because by replacing the tv picture screen panel will cost the same as a new.Because tv picture screen panel are in very limited in productions and 90% important functions to the tv.Can be bought by the tvs corporations only.That what they'll charge u.Sorry tv now only worth as a salvage tv only for it electronic boards for other tvs useage as for parts only now.

Yes the screens do come off so you can clean in between the layers. But a service manual is reccommended to remove the assembly. But I will post the proceedure below for you.

Something bursted out inside your tV. Probably it will be a mains filter capacitor. If this type of capacitor bursts out, it will spill the electrolyte liquid all over the surroundings, which is an electrically conductive material. So never turn ON this TV until it has been throughly cleaned and repaired. Power supply board inside your Tv is faulty. OK.

Hi, have you replaced the lamp after 2-3 yrs of usage? yellow blinking or not? if blinking your lamp cover is open that could be you forgot to reconnect the wires back to the lead that monitors the lamp. It's a 2 wire molex connector either black or white that will be laying next to that light cover you removed to get to the bub. this connection may be labeled "CD". iF SOLID it is a high temperature indicator, the set would have to have a lamp that works for this, so I'm guessing the lamp hasn't turned on yet. the fast blinking green is your set initializing, testing circuits and fans and yup lamp cover switches.

It sounds like what your describing is what is called solorization.. whith this model mitsubishi recomends technicians reseat what is called the dvi cable and if that doent work they next recomend replacment of the optical engine. the dvi cable is inside the chais and is what feeds the signal from the main board to optical engine. a large computer type cable like a monitor cable ussally with two tighting thumb screws.

There is a bad thermal sensor in set.

I have read it has to do with the closed captioning setting. Turn off closed captioning.

The LCD panel may need replacing. Call Mitsubishi about it.

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you can find. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!!

Turn the set on, then when it shuts down, press the INPUT and MENU buttons (maybe DEVICE and MENU on your set) on the front panel together and hold them down for at least 6 seconds. This should cause the front LED to flash a 2 digit code.

If it flashes 2 blinks, then pause and then 2 blinks -The error code is 22.One thing is certain that this is a hardware failure and needs repair.

You need to have electronic repair experience, you should know how to use schematics, could use multimeter and soldering iron and you need to keep all precautions.

No,probally a capacitor the help the power supply board to work or other boards to work is blown.Call some tv shops get a best quotes prices,get a tv tech out to it fix,if ur tv is out of warrenty.
