Operating a panasonic dmr-ez47v without a remote control

Many DVD recorders need the remote for a few functions like menu and setup. The remote part # is EUR7659T80 in the US. You can order parts here . it costs about $35 US. Save yourself some headaches.

How can I unlock my dvd player to play American dvds please?

I think it is against the law for shops in the UK to sell multi-region DVD players. I could not find a hack for this player that worked.
It is possible to convert it on your PC and burn it as a region free Disc.

Copying vhs to dvd

The write-protect tab on the cartridge is set to "PROTECT" or the disc is protected witht the "DVD Management" settings.
Some video tapes on the market(including rental videos) are copy-protected to prevent illegal reproductions. Copy-protected video tapes cannot be properly recorded.
You cannot use the copying function when the FUNCTIONS window, the Scheduled Recording List screen, etc. are displayed.
I hope this information can be of some help to you all. Ms Tanya 2/12/08 3:54AM CST.

How can I unlock this blue ray disc player so it plays multi region please?

If you google "unlock dvd regions" you will find many sites that provide this info for dvd's and blue ray players. I have given an exact site on FIXYA before but can't remember. Maybe FIXYA can go back about 18 months to my original comment on this info in their archives and provide this detail for you.

Panasonic dmr-ez49veb wont play dvd-r discs

I would suggest contacting Panasonic support. You can search for their website/home page for their contact numbers. Typically, manufacturers maintain help, support, upgrade, forums and FAQs/knowkedge bases to help customers troubleshoot their appliances/equipment. I have used similar methods, previously, to update/upgrade the firmware on an "obsolete" DVR and it has lasted 4 more years (still working).

Plug in the main aerial lead that goes into the TV into the unit. Then do a channel search. If it finds stations with that there is something wrong with lead that normally goes to the video.

Code F60 on DMR-Ez47V

Unfortunately, the F60 error means that the video processing board (digital PCB board with the HDMI port on it) has a failure. Often this happens when the capacitors on the board fail. Replacing the board or the failed components on the board is usually necessary. Some of the components may be available here: https://www.encompassparts.com/model/MSCDMREZ47V/_/_/Panasonic/DMREZ47V/DVD_RECORDER . First you can try to reset the unit. Unplug it. Then plug it in after a few minutes. Then when you see the string of 0's, press and hold the power button. Then try to power up the unit normally. Alternatively, press and hold Stop and Hold while you power on the DMR-EZ47V. I hope this helps. Unfortunately, I am not sure which part number applies to the part you need from the PC Boards available from the site above. Cindy Wells

On the timer record screen, move the cursor left to the 'date' field, and scroll down until the date disappears, and it only shows a day of the week. If it shows 'Mon', your programme will record every Monday.

How to reset the pin for Panasonic DMR-HW120EBK 500GB HDD Recorder with Twin Freeview +HD Tuners (2012)

This is the definitive answer from Panasonic Customer Services. It worked for me. In response to your enquiry, I am writing to inform you that you can reset the PIN number to the default 0000 and then change it, based on your preference. In order to reset the PIN, please follow the next steps: 1. Switch ON the unit; 2. Press and hold the OK, YELLOW and BLUE buttons, at the same time, until you see 00 RET displayed on the unit; 3. Press, repeatedly, the RIGHT ARROW buton until you see 03 VL; 4. Press OK and you should see "INIT" displayed on the unit. This will reset the PIN number to the 0000 factory preset. Furthermore, you should also be able to remove the message that is asking you for the child lock PIN while attempting to play back a recording. In order to do this, please follow the next steps: 1. Press SETUP; 2. Choose HDD/USB HDD; 3. Select CHILD LOCK FOR PLAYBACK; 4. Input the default 0000 code; 5. Switch it to OFF. After performing these steps, the recorder should no longer ask you for the PIN when trying to playback a recording. I trust that the above information will be of assistance to you. However, of course, if you should have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, George Customer Service Team Panasonic UK
