the first chip to get working with PC that runs
is what RTL8100, but you cant because its dead LAN.
so only at a PC connected to the web can you get it
and move it to dead pc. dead LAN.
(called sneaker net in the old days) sneaking PC to PC.
Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.
I have also found that the memory occasionally is not recognized. To fix remove the ram and clean electrical contacts with a clean pencil eraser. (Rub the contacts to clean.) Then replace memory. (My machine failed to boot, cleaning the contacts fixed the problem.
