Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2 Turntable Questions & Answers
My cdj 1000 won't power up keeps blowing fuse inside??
There may be a short somewhere inside that's causing it to draw too much power. If many other people are experiencing the same problem, then it may be a design flaw (like the original Xbox 360s).
As I always say, if it's under warranty/exchange, then just go that route by calling the manufacturer (for warranty) or just exchange it at the store you purchased it from.
If you're a gambling man, or find and understand the schematics, you could try stepping up the fuse to a slightly higher value. This isn't something you should seriously consider unless ALL other avenues have failed, as the fuse blows to protect the rest of the circuit from essentially melting down.

Sound only plays out of one channel
HelloCheck the wiring to the cartridge. If any one wire amomg four of them will get loose contacted or have a break, that side will not work properly. OK.

The problem is almost certainly the "sheet switch" which is a circular plastic "sandwich" of multiple contacts fitted under the platter and when constant pressure is put on it (often when players are stcked on top of each other), it tends to stick together giving the effect you are pressing it when you're not.
The part will cost you about £30.00 + fitting + VAT unless you are confident enough to do it yourself
email me if you would like to order one or discuss sending it for repair.

Sound has died on cdj1000
Does absolutely every other function / light / switch etc etc work ok?, If so then the 1st place I'd look would be the output phono connectors and the circuit board they are soldered to, I would be looking for dry joints and cracks where the sockets are mounted
