Router will not go wireless. all lights come on

The "wireless" (second) light on this model does not indicate that the router's wireless features are active, it indicates that a computer is connected to the router wirelessly. If the "router" (fourth) light shows three little "radio wave" symbols, the router's wireless capability is on.

once you press RESET you will not be able to connect wirelessly, you have to configure the router. you can only do that via a LAN cable connected PC. switch router off for at least 10 seconds. attach a pc using a lan cable to ports 1/2/3/4 NOT to the WAN port(5). switch on the router and start your browser. type in either http://router or 192.168.2.1 to get router menu up. configure the router because you have RESET it. http://www.belkin.com/uk/support-article?articleNum=8181

I want to secure my Belkin 'n' wireless router . I

connect any one of the computers to the router with a ethernet cable. open internet explorer, clear out the address bar on the top, and type 192.168.2.1. when u hit enter, u'll get a router set up utility. in this page u'll have an option -security- below "wireless". when u click security, it'll ask for a password, leave it blank and hit submit. on the next window, choose the option WPA/WP2, then u'll have some more options, look for PASSWORD(PSK).. put in a password which should be 8 to 63 characters long, its case sensitive. click on apply changes.

PC will not go wireless

If your PC is a desktop, not a laptop, probably it can be hooked to your modem/router only wired (using an Ethernet cable). If, for whatever reason(s), you want to connect it wirelessly, you have to buy a USB wireless adapter.

Where is the wps button on a N 1 Belkin route?

Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup WPS uses WPA2 (described below) for encryption. It does not provide additional security, but rather, standardizes the method for securing your wireless network. You may use either the Push Button Configuration (PBC) method or PIN method to allow a device access to your wireless network. Conceptually, the two methods work as follows: PBC: Push and hold the WPS button located on the back of your Router for three seconds. Then initiate the WPS procedure on the client device within two minutes. Refer to your client's documentation on this procedure. Pushing the PBC button will automatically enable WPS. The client has now been securely added to your wireless network. PIN: The client device has a PIN number (either four or eight digits) that is associated with WPS. Enable WPS through the GUI shown below. Enter the client's PIN into the Router's internal registrar (accessed through this GUI). The client will be automatically enrolled into your wireless network within two minutes.

Why i do not have any sound on my phone

Prob with Router or Phone? (Takes time to try to understand/figure out your issue. Please explain Details.) Best answer I have so far is Your Cell-Phone Provider does NOT allow your Phone to do Internet calls over a WiFi connection thru the internet unless You pay for it. Didn't used to be that way, had the prob with T-Mobile myself. Was free for a bit, then T-Mobile started charging me or turned off the feature. SUCKED! Most likely, your Cell-Phone Provider because they want those minutes charged to your account. Sorry bout that. Thanks.

Connecting Seagate Backup Plus Desktop drive (STCA3000101) to Belkin N750 wireless router.

Usually you don't need to setup any additional settings or creating new users on the Belkin router to access an USB HDD attached to it, if you used the Belkin Router Manager to set it up. The Seagate drive you are using have it's own power supply, so that should not be a problem. Also the accepted formats are FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS formatted HDD. You can try to set it up again using the manager. This is the user manual for your router, if it helps: http://www.belkin.com/networking/manual/MAN_F9K1103_8820-00778_RevA01_N750.pdf If you still can't get it working, let me know and we will try to find another solution.

Wired network connection problem

Thank you for the clarification. I believe that 50 feet long is prone to interference that is why your computer freezes. You can try using a shorter cable to and check if the same problem occurs. This could be a problem with interference or a problem with the second computer. By trying a shorter cable, you would be able to define which is the problem.

Pull the power from the router and modem. Wait about 1 minute and plug in just the modem. Wait 1 minute for the modem to come up completely and plug in the router. Wait another minute for the router to come up completely. Now test your connection.

There is no Internet between the hours 8:00pm and 11:00pm

Wi-Fi routers usually have the ability for the user to restrict the hours of Internet access(most of the time used for unruly teenagers).Log into the router(the IP address might be 192.168.1.1,if not it is probably on the router somewhere). Then locate "admininstration" or something like that to look at the access time settings.
