Sennheiser Wireless Headphone Stops transmitting signal

I had the same problem when I plugged it into a new HDTV. The problem was that the sound on the TV was set too low. The transmitter has a feature that automatically turns off when the signal is off or too low. Try turning up the TV volume to a high/higher level and it should solve your problem. Using the headphone jack with the white input allows you to use the headphones while bypassing the TV speakers.

My Sennheiser RS 110 headphones won't work. I

First thing is you need to have a signal going to the headphones for them to work.

If you are getting a signal the green light should be lit.

If only the red lamp is lit the headphones are not getting a signal.

If hooked into a television you should have them plugged into a Fixed Output not variable output..

If you only have a variable output then you must turn the speakers off on the television and then turn the volume up on the TV in order to send a signal to the headphones.

If you are using a amplifier make sure you are using the correct output. Tape Monitors generally will not work as this output is not amplified.

Lastly try using an rca to headphone adapter and plug them into a headphone jack.

Work fine for about 5 minutes than change to static

There's an auto-shutoff feature which kicks in when the audio input to the transmitter is too low. That's usually indicated by the green light on the transmitter turning off. Just increase the volume on the device connected to the transmitter, and you should see the green light come back on. As long as that's on, it'll stay transmitting and shouldn't just cut out to static.

I can only get static on my rs 120 head phones

Sennheiser remote/cordless headphones are ordinarily very dependable. From your description it sounds like the problem is with the base unit. Try power-cycling the base with the headphones sitting on the charger cradle (red charging light must be on when you do this) - Unplug the power cord for about 10 or 15 seconds then plug it back in. This action should cause the base and the headset to go through the automatic pairing process. Once the base is paired with the headset, it should begin working again. Check also the channel pushbutton on one of the headphones. Hope this helps!!
