What is the mx mean on radio and how do i go into this function

Here's a great explanation of the mx feature from a review of the alpine decks... "Media Xpander (MX) is a great feature. If you listen to lots of MP3s, you know the quality on some can leave a bit to be desired. Media Xpander helps compensate by adding bass and tone to your files. And you can control the level of ‘help’ you want (from 1-3, mine sits at 2 except for the worst discs). Even my worst bootlegs come out sounding pretty decent – and you can use it on both CDs and FM radio." hope that helps you put it to good use!

When head unit is on tuner everything is fine when

are you using an amplifer? if so, it sounds like you are using the blue wire instead of the blue/white wire to turn the amp on. the blue is antenna remote and turns of when it is not in tuner mode. the blue/white is amplifier remote.

Hello, I just returned from

you might want to check all the fuses in the vehicle. i can't remember off the top of my head if there is a fuse in the back of the radio or not. you might want to check there too just in case.

Cda 9883 - no sound

Check for blown fuses behind the deck and under the hood, sometimes by the battery, you may get lucky but you could have smoked the unit, and would not know anything unless you send it in to get fixed. Replacing the unit could be the answer Alpine CDA-9883 CD Player

I can't get my radio to recognize my ipod

im having this problem too,do you have one of the new ipods,i believe the alpine cda9883 is 2007 model,so i think the reason the ipod wont work is that its too new and the alpine dont recognize it,maybe you can try getting an older version of itunes not the new itunes9

I just reinstalled my CDA-9883 receiver after

whay type of vehicle are you putting the cd deck in ? if it has a factory amp , it may have one amp per speaker , get the specs on the new vehicle to find out . using a "free harness" is always a good idea as well , it plugs directly into youre vehicles factory radio harness and has labeled wires coming off the end so u know whats what there .
