On my tascam cc-222MKll it gets stuck reading opc
The door won't open might be a sign that there is a bad belt in the mechanism as the pickup may also be driven or positioned by the same belt- It may need to be looked at by a Technician.

Cd recorder won't read blank cd
If it is a older CD Recorder, You have to use disc,s that stay music on the label. Disc,s for burning music from a computer will not work in them,

Play back pause between tracks
Try a CD cleaning kit and follow instructions, if no change! laser pickup is slowly failing use until it no longer functions, and replace.

My tascam cc-222 read welcom
Is there a CD stuck in the unit? Did you push the tray to close? If non of the above you must remove and open the top to see what happened

The CD tray will not open after the "welcome"
I hope you already have found the answer, but, I have 20 some odd Tascams in the field and this is the training that I give my operators. When a defective CD is in the drive (or one that the unit thinks is defective) you can turn off the machine and let it power down. Then when you power it up keep pressing eject before it has a chance to read the disk. It will go into eject mode before it will go into diagnostic mode and when the disk is out the machine don't let it go back in. Most of the time the machine goes back to working like it should.
