I NEED A CHARGER FOR

good luck I rigged a black and decker from walmart so far it works it has 2 outputs and the 2 pegs on the edge of the batteries take the juice. It saves about 100 bucks cause you can pick up a b&d charger for 25 bucks.

How do i repair nicad battery

There is no repair, batteries fail, you have to replace them. the bad deal is that you can replace the drill with a new one for about the same $ or less.

Brushes over time will wear down so comparing from the old to new will not look the same. If 18V brushes fit into the your drill then it should be fine.

How do I know what torque to set my drill to when

Sorry, there are no rules as to what to set torque to for your job. There are too many variables like thickenss of the wood or drywall or the hardness of the material you're driving into and whether you want the screw to stop above, at or below the surface. The best thing to do is set it low and raise the torque untill it stops when you want it to. Keep in mind if you hit something like a knot it will stop the screw earlier and if you go through a softer spot in the wood it will drive in deeper.

How to remove the chuck?

open the chuck fully and it shoudl have a screw inside. Unscrew it, but be carefull, these screws are usually reversed - to uncsrew, rotate it clockwise. Once done, put allen key into chuck (short side in), fasten the chuck to hold allen key well and hit the key with hammer - counterclockwise direction. You might want to verify this procedure with someone else as I have no experience with Dewalt, but this way it works for Makita, Metabo, Narex, ... then why not for Dewalt? Juraj

Battery charger Delta model CL180C

Hello Alfred. I have that same exact drill and charger. Your charger is shot and there is no fixing it.
You can replace it at http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/

The problem will probably be the cost of a new charger. Good luck with it. Joe
