Amana ARGS7650SS Gas Kitchen Range - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Arg7600 oven won't light. Glow plug works. No gas.
This typically indicates the Hot surface ignitor (glow plug) is weak, and needs to be replaced. Even though it glows, it simply doesn't generate the amperage required to open the gas valve. These two compnents work in series, when the igintor becomes to corroded it cannot draw enough current to sufficiently power the magnetic coil in the gas valve. replace the ignitor and let me know when the turkey is ready ! :)
Amana big oven 5.14 pilot ignition not working
Chances are its a bad spark igniter. Go to web site partselect.com and enter the model number, they have very good pricing. This is usually 2 screws and a little plug to change this part very simple.
Oven is not heating
if it is a gas oven the pilot may not be lit. if it is a electric oven the heating elements may be broke
Amana ARGS7650 Keypad has no power
I had the same problem, same model. The electronic panel has to be replaced. This part is ~$215 before tax and shipping. With labor, I was looking at over $400. I bought a 4 yr old used GE gas oven for $75. That was my solution.
I believe the part to replace is labeled Erciii, gas
Part Number: AP4041311 made by WHIRLPOOL
This would have taken at least a week to ship (no one seems to have them in stock).
From now on, I will never own a range in which the oven or stovetop controls are electronic. Knobs and associated mechanics can be replaced MUCH more easily and cheaply!
No spark on two burners, when they both worked this morning
Hi,
I assume you have cleaned the burer ports and igniter prior to this.
It sounds like you have one of the following faults:
i) chipped ceramic igniter - this can be resolved by removing the electrode and using super glue to seal any 'hairline' cracks, i would highly recommend a 'Gas Safe' engineer take a look at it for you.
ii) faulty ignition leads - replace leads and test. I would highly recommend a 'Gas Safe' engineer take a look at it for you.
I hope this helps
Steve
Amana oven does not work.
the most likly problem is the bake ignitor is bad. this is a common part to fail in gas ovens. the bake ignitor part number for your model is 31940001, and price ranges from $45-$75. a bad clock can also cause this issue, but I would start with the ignitor. let me know if you have further questions. shane
It has only heated up about 70 degrees in one
remove the oven floor and turn on.look for the orange glow of the ignitor.within 30-60 seconds the burner should fire .if not, ignitor is weak(drawing less than 3.5 amps) and should be replaced.Hope this helps ,please rate my solution :)
Bad electronic contral panel on Amana gas range
On the Amana: Several Ebay stores carry panels like this. Problem is, once you open electronics they usually are hard to send back.
The stove is ten years old. You'll likely spend more than it is worth finding the right part and repairing it. It might be a good time to consider buying a new stove and selling this one for parts or scrap.
Amana gas range
the only f5 code listed for the amana range states faulty erc(electronic range control) solution replace control
F-9 warning with buzzer
try unplugging for a few hours. If this does not correct the problem which it should, make sure the door latch is releasing and latching when door opens and closes.
also make sure door is locked before turning to clean.
