The broiler on my oven works but the bake option
Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor. If the ignitor does not come on - check the voltage on the ignitor, should be the line voltage 110-120v AC. If there is a line voltage on the ignitor and it's not coming on - replace.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.
Good luck!
I keep getting an f-3 troublecode, replaced the
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

Sometimes the oven takes very
Sounds like you are having the beginning developments of an ignitor problem, which is by the way a common thing on these Armana Gas ovens.I would be willing to bet your problem is the ignitor. Doesn't matter if you get a continuity reading and it glows, it can still be bad. The only way to correctly test the ignitor is by testing the current draw, which must be around 3.2amps to open the valve if its the square style ignitor.
When the ignitor starts to get bad your oven will take longer and longer each time before it will light, then eventually it won't light anymore.
The oven flame comes into the oven around the oven
Are you on natural gas or propane? If you are on propane did you have it converted form natural gas. Due to the difference in orface size you will be getting more gas flow then needed. If it was converted you need to contact the store and advise them it has a possible gas valve problem.
Oven takes to long to lite
If the oven is taking longer to light the oven ignitor is starting to go bad. Even tho it is glowing orange the ignitor is not sending the correct volts to the oven control valve to open properly. Change the oven ignitor and you will be good to go. Not an expensive repair but always be careful when working with gas because the ignitor must be aligned with the burner correctly to avoid flashback. Hope this helps.
Oven section will not light
The problem is usually the igniter not reaching the correct amp draw .When the igniter does not reach the correct amp draw it may allow the gas valve to partially open or not open at all. The igniters are inexpensive and easy to replace. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru the correct procedure for performing this test. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
Can I find a rep to repair my lighters when I
Yes you can. I repair kitchen equipment for a living. Companies ALWAYS need serial numbers for liability reasons. Parts change so frequently, and retro fits replace ot dated parts. Call a service company and ask them BEFORE they come out if they service your type of Amana and have, or can order the parts you need
Amana stove, oven igniter works but oven wont light
although the bake ignitor appears to be glowing, it probably does not glow with the intensity it needs to open the safety valve assy, VERY common problem, go aheadand replace the ignitor, this will correct your issue
