What does F9 mean? the oven says Door when i try

Hello there:
The f9 error code means that you are having door lock mechanism failure or a erc (electronic range control ) problem and needs to be replaced
1st inspect the door latch and ensure that it works properly and is not loose in any way and if this does indeed work properly than you will have to replace the erc ok
Hope this helps
Feel free to rate this solution for me and if needed post me a comment any time for further assistance
Best regards Michael

Oven will not heat

If the gas is on - the gas valve is faulty - or the thermocouple - which senses the pilot flame present and allows the gas valve to turn on.

Most likely, it's a faulty ignitor. It's not reaching a high enough temperature to open the gas valve. Douglas

Can not get top off how to work on gas surface

If you provided the correct model, you should only need to remove the grates to get to the burner caps. Just lift up, on some stoves you may need to slide one of the grates a fraction of an inch away from the other if the grates are in pairs on each side. Then you can lift off the burner caps, note the caps fit onto pegs and must be positioned correctly onto the pegs when you put them back and then the sealed burner units. The drip pans also just lift out. After those parts are out you are at the main top which has no clips or screws on the parts diagram. However the flue cover may block you from just lifting it up.

I hope this helps.

When I run the self-cleaning

Hello,

F9 is a problem with the oven door lock circuit. Since the door is locked, it's probably a bad switch that tells the oven it's locked or lock mechanism fault.

Also, the can be due to door latch failure and you might need to replace door latch switch or assembly if necessary.

Good luck.

Door lock is stuck on

Hello,

Check to see if the oven is in a self-cleaning cycle, or has just completed a self-cleaning cycle. If so, the door will unlock automatically once the oven has finished the cleaning cycle and cooled completely, which may take several hours. You cannot unlock the oven before it has cooled.
If your oven door is locked, but the oven is not warm and is not in a cleaning cycle, unlock it by pressing and holding the "Clean/Off" button.
Take care.

Oven burner will not light

hello,

what this indicate or what it means is that there has been a loose of wire connection from the element or weakness from the element

what you will have to do first of all is to unscrew the oven from the stroll with a screwdriver (technician tools ) the trace the wire down to the element (heater or heat provider) it is silver in colour at the lift or right Conner side of the oven to see if there is any form of loose of wire from the connection ,
if any then fix it up to the element , but if non then it meant that the element is bad which will need a replacement .

You can get the element from the below site

directcaterparts.co.uk
premierrange.com
appliancedirectparts.com

all these site offer good service and price you can go shopping
Please note if you which to get the element your self make sure it same size from the weak or old one to avoid incompatible with the the panel .

thank you and thanks for using fixya.
