Charger is not dead the battery is done in,get a new battery.Led does not light because it does not know it's hooked to a battery.

Hi Firemedic13; Most chargers like yours have a fuse inside them. Remove the screws that hold the charger together. The fuse will be on the low voltage side of the transformer. Un-solder and replace it with one of the same value. If the charger is not held together with screws (doubtfull) you will have to carefully cut along the seam where they were glued together. A dremmel tool works good for this. After repairing use some ABS pipe glue to re-seal them together. If the fuse is not blown then the unit will require testing by someone that is proficient with a multimeter. Most times it is the transformer that has fried a wire. If the sides of the transformer have any burnt spots on it then it will be the culprit. Hope this has helped. Best regards; HELP2DIY Please dont forget to rate my answer.

Primary there is a bridge rectifier that will can have a shorted diode or sometimes a power mosfet that is shortclosed .

I've followed HELP2DIY's advice 4 #3 phillips screws will open the case there are actually 2 fuses 15A glass type which i can see that both wires through the visible glass are intact the rest of the resistors and capacitators & what-not on the circuit board/ breadboard also show no signs of any electrical burns i've also have 2 replacement batteries just to test this charger & still blinking any others found a way to fix this "made in china" product? i also went to AzOn for similar reviews with no real answer but to just buy another one

Not entirely familiar with this model but most chucks are secured by a screw inside the chuck. Open the the chuck to its fullest aperture and look inside. There should be a centre screw ... it will be a left hand thread. Remove the screw. Hold the chuck firmly, reverse the drill. The chuck should unscrew from the shaft. Installation is a reversal of the removal procedure.

You may have FAILED to check that the polarity matched. Some have the pinpositive, the other the sleeve.

It is UNLIKELY that muchwas damaged beyond the power regulator in the base unit. Should be relatively inexpensive repair.
