I am receiving the F9

Hi

F9 is a door lock error and to solve this issue you can hold the light switch for 15 seconds, this will reset the control. If it won't work then hold the light switch in and set the unit to clean and after a minute press cancel to cancel the clean cycle. If still it won't work then the door lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I keep getting the F1

ERC electronic range control
F-1 on amana stoves is no safety signal replace ERC. Just fer funsies I would go ahead and remove the connections to the control and clean them with contact spray. Grease and corrosion can cause a bad connection. I would try that first.

Oven is not heating up. I set it for 350 and 25

Most likely the temperature sensor is bad. This is a small pencil shaped rod in the top of the oven.

Well, to ensure the temp sensor isn't bad, you can take an ohm meter to the contacts of it and measure the resistance. It should be around 20 ohms. If it is much greater or infinite, then its bad. To get to the contacts you will need to unplug the oven, pull it away from the wall and remove the rear panel. Then disconnect the wiring and touch the probes from the meter to the contacts on the sensor. You can order a new sensor locally or from repairclinic.com. If the sensor checks out, then test the elements in the same way. Let me know what you find.

F9 code will not clear

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa.
F9 error indicates Door latch issue and to resolve this you'll have to check the door lock circuit. If that is fine then replace the clock assembly/Electronic range control (ERC). Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Hi,
The oven will cycle through the cleaning on its own....how long to cool down can be a **** shot...many times they do not ever want to open again...the better term for the self clean oven would be the self destruct oven....
