Calcuation of pitch of the screw and least count?

the pitch of a screw is the distance the thread moves in one complete revolution . OR in the sae measuring system the number of threads (points) in one inch. So if you have a half inch dia bolt and you count the number of threads in one inch along the bolt and you had 20 threads then the pitch would be 20 threads per inch or in metric it is measured as the distance between the points so if the distance between the thread points was 1mm the bolt would be measured as the dia. (say 12 mm) by the distance between the points of 1mm or 12x1.5

I have a b&q rechargeable 1m candle power

Probably between 3 to 5 hours.
Check battery regularly. It should be warm while charging. When it begins to get hot it is charged. If you charge the battery for longer, there is the increased danger of fire or leakage from the battery.
Note how long the battery has been charged for and during for future charges, reduce the charging time.
NiCad batteries should be run flat before being recharged rather than being topped up in order to get maximum life out of the batteries. This is less critical with NiMh batteries.

M4242 charging problem

Possible that the internal battery has gone weak. So unless the unit is opened and checked the battery cannot be confirmed to be faulty. Also check the charging current to the battery. If not the charging section must be checked using a multimeter.

How do i change the assesories that come with

If you have the standard dremel tool ther is a small bar sticking out at the collet end of tool. This is a locking rod to hold motor shaft in place so you can loosen coollet nut. Put pressure on thebar and slowly rotate the shaft until the bar drops in place. There should be a small open end wrench that comes with your tool to loosen nut. If not use asmall wrench to loosen nut.Turn it counter clock wise to loosen. It is not needed to take the nut all the way off. You may have to move tool slighyly to get it to come out.
The tool that you use is determined by what job you are trying to do.Most come with abrasive cut off wheels small grinders, sanders, and polishers. To secure new tool in collet just insert tool shaft in collet and tighten down. When it gets snug then Depress locking bar to finish tightening. Hope this helps you some. Thank you.

How do you get the bit out of the Craftsman 19.2?

I'm assuming this is a drill/driver but you did not indicate a model. If it's a keyless chuck, and most are, put the drill in reverse, hold the chuck housing near the body of the drill firmly and pull the trigger. the chuck jaws will open wide enough to remove the old bit and insert new one. To tighten, switch the drill into forward gear, hold the chuck and pull the trigger until the bit is firmly held in the jaws.

I have two Japanese Z saws and I am about to

The blades have a hook on the tang end which fits around the rivet in the the metal support and the support pinches the back edge of the blade when its correctly inserted. To remove this type of blade, you strike the back edge of the blade on a flat piece of wood (cutting edge up aiming to make contact with the last third or so of blade for most leverage). Strike so the blade hits flat along the back and not just at the very end or one point along its length, if you follow what I mean.
The force you are applying will move the blade in the direction of the arrow (which shows a rotation toward the cutting edge around the rivet) which will unseat it from the pinch of the metal support. Once free, it will rotate until the hook is free of the rivet and it will detach.
To install a new blade, you pretty well reverse the operation except strike the back of the metal support on a piece of wood so the force drives the blade into the pinch of the support.

Or, just give the end away from the rivet a yank and out it comes, you could also put it in a vice and just pivot the handle too.

I have an extension in my house where the bricks

Check all round the window and ensure a good seal with the brick and sill [use silicon sealant at the joint between the window frame and the brick & sill and brick] and that the sill has a drip bar [ridge or channel under the sill running sideways at the furthest away from the wall] If not put one on the underside. Almost anything will do [sounds silly but an elastic band will do temporary or even a line of the silicon] so long as it collects the drips from the sill. also ensure that the sill slopes downward & away from the wall
How old is the extension ?? I ask because if it is 50+ yrs you may have lime mortar which lets the bricks breath and if this has been re-pointed later with non- lime mortar [i.e. portland cement mortar] any water which gets in above will not escape out through the lime mortar below.
Secondly, if this is a north or east facing wall getting little sun and if the bricks were originally not good, frost & freezing will cause the flaking.
Bricks - has the wall been built with facings or commons. commons will spoil [flaking] sooner.
Do your bricks have a frog. That is a hollow in the middle [& looks a bit like a cake which has sunk in the middle] The frog should be facing down otherwise water will collect You can only check this by taking a brick out [applies mainly to modern bricks ]
