Ryobi RLT30CES
I have one of these and I have to admit they are a bit of a bug*er to start. Following the instructions though on the sheet for trying to start it eventually should kick it off and then you should be away. I start mine by alternating between no choke and the half choke with about half a dozen pulls each. generally pull with the throttle held but try a few with it off every now and again. If you get to 10 mins without success, put it down, have a drink and a rest and go back in 30 mins and try again.
I wouldnt have thought a straight petrol mix would do it any harm though, if you had over mixed with oil then that could have been a differnt story.

Ryobi EX26 dies when hot, won't start, then when cool starts
This sounnds too good to be true, but believe it!
The next time you run the trimmer and it starts to die, loosen the gas cap. It should start to run again. This means that the gas cap is clogged. Either clear the gas cap or buy a new one. This should solve the problem.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

I have a Ryobi RLT30CESN. The started cord broke
Dont remove the center screw out of the spring pully or the spring will fly out. you put in the cord while the spring is assembled inside. Take the housing off but do not remove the pulley unless the spring is broken. The string can be put in using needle nose pliers from the inside of the housing once it has been removed. once installed you wind the cord around the pully and then turn pulley untill you get proper spring tension. Once tension is achieved you fish the cord back threw the eyelet coming out of the housing and tie the handle to the cord. It is a really simple and easy thing to do but hard to put into words.
