I have come home now a couple of times to find my garage door opened by itself. It was closed when I left the house. Am I on a similar frequency to my neighbors? or is something shorting?
We are having an issue with a Sears Craftsmen Garage door opener where the remote will only work either very close to the house or intermittantly at a distance. We have changed batteries, re-"learned" the remotes by resetting the codes and by trying a different remote. One of the safety sensors is showing a yellow light but it is in line with the other remote. The garage door opener is working fine from the manual button.
Lift Master Security Plus remote works only intermitenly, It seems to lock after a few tries, Works from inside garage, Seems to lock up after few tries, Wall opener fine. Changed batteries several times. Can't understand why it works and then doesn't. Tried cleaning sensors and wires,

Worked fine until today! When I press the remote button in my car the green light goes on ( on the remote and on the opener in the garage ) but nothing else happens. The wired opener button on garage wall works just fine .
The little button with a padlock on the wall control is a "vacation" lockout feature that disables the remotes. There should be a small LED on the wall control that is always on steady. When the padlock button is pressed and released the LED should be constantly blinking (indicating the vacation lockout mode is active) and your remotes should be disabled. The wall control will still operate the door. Pushing the padlock button again should make the LED stop blinking and restore the door to normal operation.

The sensor for the garage door opener was accidently knocked off. How do I fix it - there are 3 wires and only 2 places to wire it too.
Thanks for your assistance
Can you hook up sensors to an older craftsman garage door that never had them?

Our garage door is not opening with the wall unit or remotes. When I push the wall unit I hear a click from the ceiling unit. The door operates fine manually. The green light on the ceiling unit (the SRT button I believe) keeps blinking periodically. The wall unit has a green light that is lit (not blinking). I've tried holding the SRT button since it appears it needs reset somehow but that hasn't worked. Any suggestions?
My garage door opener will start to close then stop and go back to the open position. If I put pressure on the door as it is closing sometimes it will close all the way and sometimes it will return to the open position. Can you help me. Thanks [email protected]

my keypad does not have a enter button and im trying 2 reset the password....what do i do??
You must have a wired keypad. To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next, remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

Lightning may have hit garage opener. Not working anything I can check
Lightning loves logic boards. You can remove the board and check for missing traces on the printed circuit. Unfortunately this is fairly common.

garage opener opens a little and then it closes very slowly. The bar that holds the machine bends as it tries to open. An error comes up on the keypad, saying excessive opening force detected. I need to open it at least manuelly for now to get my car out
un hook the door from the rail manualy open door to see if it hangs up. if it does fix the door rollers or rail. if not find out what is binding. you may need to adjust the distance it stops
