What kind of cable do I need to go from my modem to my roku?

RJ 45 (Ethernet) Cable should work. Otherwise you can try connecting it to the WiFi Network.

Ordered and paid for a book called"Alone" for my kindle but cannot access it on my kindle

Hello Jill. I have found in my case that some books would not open because the format file extension was incomplete. Most of my ebooks are in the .epub and .mobi format. Example: Star Trek_ Abramsverse - 01 - Star Trek - Alan Dean Foster.epu Notice at the end of the book title and author you see the format file extension .epu here the 'b' is missing and must be added. Star Trek_ Abramsverse - 01 - Star Trek - Alan Dean Foster.epub If that is the problem the book should now open. I am unfamiliar with the Kindle ebook reader. I use the free Calibre ebook reader program on my computer. But I can show you how to edit the file extension on a computer. If the file extension is not shown it is because it is hidden. First we must unhide them. Windows XP: at the top of your window you will see the toolbar: File Edit View Tools Help Click 'Tools' then 'Folder options' then click the 'View' tab. There you will see boxes with check markes in them. Find the box 'Hide extensions..' and make sure it is unchecked. Then click 'Apply' then 'OK'. You will now be able to edit the file extension. Vista & Windows 7: If you do not see the toolbar above, click 'Organize' at the top left There you will see 'Folder and search options', click it. There are other file extensions used in addition to those above and you must know what they are. When downloading ebooks from the net they generally give two or more file extensions to chose from. Good Luck
