You are not getting any signal from your computer. Most likely there is an issue with your computer and not the monitor. You'll need to troubleshoot your system to find out why it is not putting out a video signal.
First, though, try another monitor just in case the monitor is not working properly.

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). Download the correct graphics driver.
If you have a Graphics card, download the driver from either Nvidia or ATI.
If your graphics chip is on the motherboard, download the driver from your manufacturers support page

My samsung syncmaster 920nw picuture goes blank

If you get a flashing screen which show your screen for few minutes and then goes blank it may be an issue with the Monitor.

Try to restart the computer and go to BIOS setup screen. If you experience the same issue in BIOS then the monitor needs a repair or replacement for sure.

Try startingyou computer again this time take a flashlight point it at the screen if you see a image you need a new backlight for you monitor installed. This is generally not what a end user could do normally they would buy a new monitor but you can take it and have it done for under what it would cost for a new one.

Hi, my SyncMaster 920nw turned off today, when I

Well a few things could be wrong. In my shop I could tell you pretty quick which it was. But lets look at the possibilities.
1. Monitor has gone bad.
2. Somehow the monitor has become partially disconnected from the PC on one end or the other.
3. The video card has gone bad.

First check that the cable is plugged in to the PC and the monitor securely.
If that doesn't fix the problem check it with another monitor. Borrow one if you have to. If that fixes the problem then you know your monitor gave up.
If it doesn't fix the problem then your video card is bad.

My monitor is going off after a few seconds

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

When turn on my monitor it blinks on and off,you

Wish I had an easy fix for you. It has to do with the way the monitor syncs with the video card. Try another monitor on it and see if it does the same. if it does then its the video card that is defective. If not then it is the monitor that is defective.
Most of the time it is a monitor problem. Sometimes with brand new monitors.
