anyone has a solution? this device its plug and play only in windows, for other operating system need a driver. its my opinion.

Actually you do not need or require any additional software or drivers for this device to work with your system if you are running on windows 7 as i suppose.

I've open a case with Microsoft.

Just bought mine and have the same problem with Windows 7 Ultimate. If i speak normal with the earset place corectly on my ear, i get 2 bars out of 10 ...witch is way too low. If i take my Xbox 360 Wireless Earset and connect it to my computer using the same module, i get the same problem.

The person i spoke to on the phone did do the same test and got the same problem...so i guess its general... well unless you have a very loid voice...

This shouldn't have anything with Realtek witch i also have but its USB connected, so it doesn't go threw your Realtek audio drivers

The solution would be simple, implement a microphone boost or inscrease the volume drasticly within the Microsoft ZX-6000 driver

They are supose to transfert this to their development team. I hope their goiing to make the change and quickly enought since i'm waiting for that to fully experience starcraft 2 with this microphone!

Follow these steps:
1. Go to Start > Run and type "services.msc" without the "" and hit Enter
2. Scroll to "HID Input Service" and start the service.

1. Go to Start > Run and type "regedit" without the "" and hit Enter
2. Got to the following key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidServ\Parameters" and create the following key...
2a. Right click and select "New" > Expandeble String Value:
2b. Name: ServiceDll
2c. Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
2d. Data: %SystemRoot%\System32\hidserv.dll
3. Save and close de Registry and do the first step (Start the service).

That should take care of it. Hope it helps.

Its another one of those microsoft product that does't work and they dont care. I bought two one for my daughter and one for me I can't get either to work.....thanks at lot Mr Gates. Your a thief not more nothing less

plug in the headset first then install the software . i had the same thing happen to me . so i just plug in the headset first then installed the software . it works just great now . ok. frank.

Do i need to download the software for microphone. When i used it i hear when it rings but cant hear the person on the other side and vice versa
