C2600 is deck conveying motor / desk motor problem.

C4200 is a LSU (laser unit) problem.

Run maint mode 906 to re-enable the HDD. Then run mode 024 to format. 10871087 gets you in maint. mode. 00 gets you back out. If you don't know what you are doing you will cause major problems messing around in maint. mode so be careful.

There are a few things to checkIs your paper freshOpen the left hand side and check the transfer roller sometimes people break the retainers and loose the springs etcwhile removing paper jams

adjust the intensity from your print quality menu/ if that doesnt work clean the glass, sensors and paper path If that does not work then replace the drum unit.

Press the * key and select Machine Defaults. Key in 6482, and scroll down to Select Copy Output Mode and press the Change # key. Select the desired output location.If 6482 doesn't work use 5000

Stupid question but make sure that there is nothing on the glass surface underneath your document feeder. Be sure to get the main glass clean as well as the little strip of glass to the left. If this didn't fix your problem than you need to do a little more cleaning.

When was the last time you changed the toner? In the toner box you should have gotten a small grayish blue box with a plastic top and felt head. There should have been instructions on how to use this little cleaning tool but what you need to do is to remove the waste toner bottle being very careful not to spill the waste toner all over yourself. Before you do anything else you should gently take out the green square handle. Now behind the space where the waste toner bottle is located you will notice a small hole that fits the little blue box minus the cap. Gently place the blue box (peg first) into the hole (should only fit one way but the felt tip should point to the right) and gently move the green handle back and forth 3 to 4 times. Take the blue box out and throw away, put the green handle back in and than replace the waste toner bottle.

If you don't have the little blue box than call the company you got your copier from, they should be able to help you.

Do you have the option installed on you copier??? Also, there is another ether connector for scanning. If it is installed it is right above the print PCB.

Look for a stuck key on the operation panel. Usually is the least used key, a grain of salt will do it!
