Where is the reset button located
Usually right on the control board. It is very small button, either black or white, and is not very easy to see but it is labled on the board itself. Look very closely at the board.
Good luck and hope it helps.

Hoshizaki ice machine KM500-MAE not sending water to harvest
I would not change the pump. If it runs for 3-5 minutes and stops, it has to be a control. The control board runs the freeze cycle for the first 5 minutes. This prevent "Short Cycling" of the freeze cycle. The board looks at the float after the first 5 minutes for the proper water level but should not effect the pump. If the pump does not run in the wash mode, check out the "Power/ Wash" switch. I would start there before I go spending hundreds on pump motor or control board. You may be able to get by on a $20 fix! Do this and get back to me. We will get it going.
Good Luck

Hoshizaki ice machine model KM-450MAB water runs
Hoshizaki machines have a water inlet valve that can stick in the open position. This will cause the machine to do silly things. If you can turn the machine off and you can still hear water running, the valve is stuck open. It is an easy fix. Water valve only has 2 wires going to it and 2 water lines. One inlet and one outlet. Just turn off water and kill power at the breaker before doing any work.
Hope this helps and good luck.

My ice machine only harvest
In most cases, there is a chart on the inside of the front cover. It may also be located on the side of the box where the control circuit board is located. It will tell you what the 3 beeps mean. Hoshi has a great tech support. It's worth the wait.

Loud sound
Very common to get a peice of plastic from the cube guide stuck in the impellar of the pump. Pull hoses off, look inside white housing on the pump, you may find a peice of plastic in there. Or is ou have broken slates in the cube guide from time to time smaller peices of ice will get in there. then the sound comes and goes. Of course it could actually just be the pump. :)

Ice cube cycle time very high
i suspect a defective liquid line or pump down seleonid coil. just make sure you hear the "click" when it starts up if not the selenoid coils could be defective. also verify that the condenser fan is running, because if not you are short-cycling on high head pressure. please contact if you need any additional info

Hoshizaki Ice Machine starting problem after shut off
I am guessing there is a safety switch somewhere which is gauging how much water is left in a defrost tray. Other likely things: open circuit breaker from the water shorting things out. Start with these. Other, more exotic things could be involved...but not as likely as the above.

Something wrong with Harvesting cycle, ICE will not come out, coils freeze up.
If you need answers and have not recieved results I will try to help, I see no one responded to your request because the manual and

purchase the machine. If you need help and want answers you can call me at 864-812-1887 or e-mail me at
[email protected] your
description of the problems could be many different possibilities. I want to know and help also. Thanks John Tripp

Hoshizaki KM-500MAH not making ice
Look at water solenoid valve when the unit is running in ice mode. Check to see if the water is shuting off completely. If the water valve does not close properly it will keep adding a little bit warm water to the ice a slow down the ice production.

I have a hoshizaki freezer model FH1-AAC-HD, it stay on def
this is a large misconception of this unit. After a defrost cycle is completed, the display stays in "DEF" or "REC" until the box temp reaches 14 degrees of the "set" temp. So, if you have it set on zero, the conditioned space has to get to 14 degrees and then the display will switch over and show the temp. One way to verify this, is if the display shows DEF, check to see if the compressor is running, if so, then this scenario applies.
