How cpu's work properly

What is a CPU?

The Central Processing Unit, or CPU, is considered the brain of a computer.

Without this vital component, the computer wouldn't be able do any of the functions it is capable of doing. Basically, it is a chip that handles the moving and processing of data.

With each new upgrade, the CPU is getting faster and more powerful.

Speed and reliability is the name of the game when consumers are comparing CPU chips in the new PCs. F

or some, the brand of CPU is the major selling point for many when buying a new computer. The faster and more powerful the CPU, the more the computer will sell.

How Does it Work?

The CPU sits in the motherboard as the central unit.

All of the other hardware components and programs installed on the system must go through the CPU before their function can be carried out.

The CPU's job function is important and enormous in scale. When a function, program or piece of data is called, the CPU pulls it from Random Access Memory (RAM) and any other hardware in order to process it.

The CPU then reads the instructions associated to the task before sending it back to RAM. The instructions that the CPU receives pertains to calculations and data transportation.

The system bus is the trail that the data must travel before it is executed.

It is the CPU's job to make sure that the data is guided through the system bus to be processed by the CPU and then on to the next step.

With every stop on the system bus, the CPU makes sure that the data gets there in the correct order.

hope this helps

Realteck mic problem

Well, if it's working when you record sound, then there might be settings related problem with the skype or yahoo messenger etc... Let's get started with the "skype" open your skype - sign in - click on "tools" select "options", on the left pane of the options windows, click "audio settings" and now on the right pane, check the "microphone" settings and verify it's set to "Realtek High Definition Audio", if it's not, do so now. click "Save". You can set the volume manually by uncheking the "automatically adjust microphone settings" and turn up the volume slider. Do the same with the yahoo messenger, but you can't set this before you log in. In yahoo messenger you need to go to the "preferences" - "Video and Voice" from the "Messenger" menu. Also make sure, that "digital input or output" isn't selected.
Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

I assembled my PC but not the order of cable

The connectors you are referring to, are the Front Panel connectors. The wires come from the Front Panel, where your Power On button is.

The pins on the motherboard are called Headers.

Your Power On switch, (It's behind that button), the Reset switch, Harddrive Activity Lamp, (Light), and so on, connect to the Front Panel headers on the motherboard.

That explained, let's continue;
This is in reference to the MSI K9N6SGM-V motherboard. If this is not the model of your MSI motherboard, come back with an additional comment, and state the Model Number.

The link below is to MSI Support, and the download page for the ->motherboard manual. It is a Zip file. I'll explain how to open that file.

http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=manual&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1086

(Copy and paste the above link into your address bar, then press the Enter key)

Under the Download heading on the right, click on -> M7309v1.1.zip
(It's in Blue)
On the next page I recommend clicking on -> U.S, in the blue button.
A small window will pop-up. Left-click on the small empty circle to the right of -> Save.
Now, if you do not have your downloads set to go to your My Documents folder, (Start>My Documents), this will go to your desktop screen.
Minimize all windows that are open, to see your desktop screen.

On your desktop screen you will see a new yellow folder, with ->M7309v1.1.zip, underneath it.
Double-click on it. In the next window go up to the top left, and click on -> Extract all files. In the next window click on ->Next, then click on Next again.
(Same thing if it's in your My Documents folder)

Now click on-> Finish. You will now see a PDF file with -> 7309v.1.1(G52-73091X2).pdf
Double-click on that file name.
You will now be looking at the Motherboard Manual, for your MSI motherboard.

Page 7 shows your Front Panel headers. There are two of them. JFP1, and JFP2. (Junction Front Panel 1, and Junction Front Panel 2)

JFP1 is on the bottom right. There are 5 rows of 2 pins each. The pins go down in a column. There is NO pin on the top Left of the column.

JLPC1 is a header to the immediate Left of JFP1. (It has 7 rows of 2 pins, but 1 pin is missing 3 over from the right side, and on top) Disregard the JLPC1 header. The JFP2 header is to the Left of the JLPC1 header.
It has 5 rows of 2 pins, with NO pin in the bottom right corner.

At the very bottom of Page 13 it shows you where your Front Panel connectors go.
(When I refer to the page numbers, look at the very top of the PDF file in the Square box. The Square box is to the right of the Blue Down Arrow.
I am not referring to the page number on the page itself)

Use the Additional Comments if you have further questions about this.

Screen does not fit after adjusting the screen resolution msi N082 i tried updating the VGA driver online but it keeps telling me that driver is up to date

If adjusting the screen resolution didn't resolve the issue and you've already updated the VGA driver, try manually adjusting the display settings through your computer's control panel or display settings menu. Look for options like overscan or scaling to ensure the screen fits properly. If the issue persists, it could be a hardware problem or compatibility issue with your monitor. Consider reaching out to MSI support for further assistance.

Wanting to connect an older AV received to my Win 10 PC via optical input. Should I use MB or Graphics output?

You should use the audio output on your computer that is labeled as "optical" or "S/PDIF" (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format) to connect to the optical input on your AV receiver. This will typically be labeled as the "digital audio out" or "digital output" on your computer. The "graphics output" is used for video, not audio.
