I have MSI N 1996

If you have already bought the other components that you would like to add then this should be fairly easy. To replace the processor first you need to remove the original one. Start by taking off the heat sink, a large piece of metal near the RAM. This should be done by either screws or push pins. Once this is off pull the metal lever near the processor to the side. Bring that lever up and remove the old processor. Put the new processor in. There should be markings as to which corner goes where. Next you need to apply some thermal grease on top of the old processor. If you don't have any you can buy some here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100302&cm_re=thermal_paste-_-35-100-302-_-Product). Apply about a pea worth of thermal grease on top of the processor. Make sure the heat sink is clean before putting that back on. Normally it is a good idea to clean it off with a paper towel then some rubbing alcohol. Then reattach the heat sink and be sure to plug in the fan if there is one. Replacing the RAM is much simpler than the processor. Push down on tabs containing the old RAM and it should come out. take the new RAM and place it into the slot the old RAM was in and push down until the tabs come in and lock the RAM into place.

System is not booting after

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps another possible reason could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time placing to much strain on the CPU also you might not have enough RAM random access memory to check what is running when your computer is running scroll to the bottom toolbar right click select task manager applications and processes if you see something you dont need running select end now to check how much ram you have click start right click on my computer select properties you will see all of your computers details another way to check how much RAM you have click start all programs accessories system tools system imformation all of your computers imformation will be there try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this will schedule on a restart don

I need pci driver for

Generally you will not need drivers for the PCI slots themselves, as those are extremely common. You will possibly need drivers for some PCI devices placed in your motherboard. Locate the drivers for various cards you've installed on the manufacturer's website.

Pci simple communication controller

In the device manager (start button, right-click computer, properties, then select device manager) right-click the PCI simple communications controller entry that I assume has a yellow exclamation mark. Then, select properties, and select the details tab of the properties box. In the 'Property' pull-down box, select Hardware IDs. In the "Value" box below you will see the information that tells you what part of the computer is having an issue, but it will be in code!

The code will look something like: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_026C&SUBSYS_81CB1043&REV_A2
To crack the code, take the numbers/letters after VEN_ and DEV_ and enter them in the vendor and device search boxes at www.pcidatabase.com . This will tell you the common name of the component in question (for example, IDT High Definition Audio Driver by Intel Corporation).

Once you know the device in question, you can get the appropriate driver to install. This may be an onboard component of your motherboard and require a trip to MSI's download page for this motherboard's drivers: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K9MM-V.html#/?div=Driver

More details can be provided if you post which operating system you are using and the results of the device info lookup described above.
