All my software are lost
hi there!!!
if you had a back up for the software that you lost, then lucky for you cos you can just have everything that you lost back and you are back on track.. but if you don't have a back up,then there is nothing you can do to retrieve your software that you lost..
I cant get my computer to recognize the mp3, I just want to put music on it.
if your computer recognizes the device as a valid drive (look in 'my computer' folder for it) then you should be able to reformat it.
Right click on the device in my computer, click format, quick format. set to FAT format if it lets you. run the format, then disconnect the device and power it back on. it should re-boot and then try to connect again.
Try using windows medai player to transfer music. or download Rhapsody and try using that.

Mp3 Players

Delete songs
You should be able to hook your mp3 player up to your computer with the USB cable. This will allow you to browser the directory where the songs are and delete or add new songs. Your mp3 player will appear in your computer as a removable disk. The songs that you put on your mp3 player need to be in mp3 or wma format. I also found the instruction manual for your product in pdf format. http://www.gpx.com/shop_ind.php?id=%20%20344#
MacBook Intel and GPX MP3 Player
The GPX MP3 Player will not recognize .m4a files. You must convert the files to MP3 files first. To do so, in iTunes, click "Edit, Preferences". Change the tab to "Advanced". Inside, there should be a second tab control. Change that to "Importing". Change the "Import Encoder" to "MP3 Encoder". Close those windows. Select the song you want to convert to an MP3, right click, and choose "Convert selection to MP3". Then, locate the file that was created, and put it on your GPX. If you want to convert your entire library, just select all files using Control+A.
Repeat function
If you go into the Menu, you can change the playback options. Just change it to "Normal"
GPX MW3816 PROBLEM
Maybe you have the player set to random mode so its playing random songs in random orders. If so, press the round mode button in the middle until "RAN" in the top right corner of the screen is no longer displayed.
