If you have forgotten your BIOS or system password, there are no software tricks or magical gimmicks that will get the password cleared. Laptops are different in that they are designed to not work with “backdoors” etc. for security reasons. There is one true way that works most of the time and that is hardware.
The Cmos (RTC) battery that is mounted on the motherboard in most cases holds the key, if your motherboard has the battery that is connected to the motherboard by using a two wire socket that plugs into the MOBO, then here is the procedure.
On the motherboard where the battery plugs into, you will see two pins sticking straight up, these engage the plug on the battery side. These two pins have to be “shorted” and then the motherboard powered up for approx. 30 seconds, then power down the system and replace the Cmos battery and reboot. Your password problem should be cleared up. The best way to “short” the pins is get another cmos battery and cut the wires from the battery part, bare the ends and twist together, this will short the pins. Make sure you tape the connection good on the jumper you just made….don’t want to touch anything else with powered up bare wires. Good luck.

If you have recovery disk insert it and follow the instruction about format and recover.

The motion eye is the webcam for your laptop. Look for any webcam program on the laptop and that will control the motion eye. In fact you can install yahoo messenger or any other like that and use it.

Look in your start menu and you will find one to use.

try to reinstall the camera driver to your camera

1) Go to CONTROL PANEL and then ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAMS. Look for software for Camera and Select REMOVE. If you cant find it go to step 2 anyway

2) Reload the SOftware it came with or go to the Manufacturers Website. They generally have that as a Free Download. Just download and RUN the program and/or DRIVER

The monitor switch on a Sony is usually done by holding down the Fn key and tapping one of the F keys that has the icon of a monitor on it, sometimes you have to tap that key a couple of time for the switch to activate.

I found the drivers. But depending where you live you may want to change that option then download appropriate driver.

Along with your laptop Vista OEM was sent to you which included generic drivers for all the integrated devices like you Webcam.
If you have Vista CD than reinstall Vista or what you can go to Sony VAIO official website put model number and check onboard components and install drivers of the particular devices fro there respective website.
You have to manually download and install generic drivers for devices.

first of all did you the original recovery cd to install xp. If not you have to download on line the keyboard driver for your laptop. get back to me if you need more help.
