Hi Paul, The horizontal lines on the screen are virtually NEVER caused by a bad T-con board. These horizontal lines indicate a defective LCD panel (screen). The Screen has small ICs that become defective overtime and that it isn't fixable unless replacing the entire screen.

Sorry,no! Because the LCD screen is about 90% of the LCD tv.No where else u will find a LCD screen for sale.Except the tvs corporation themself,LCD screen it limited produce,so the will charge u the LCD screen replacement same as a new tv or even more after the labors and LCD screen replacement.Ur tv now it only can be salvage as for electronics boards for parts that it.Not worth as a whole tv any more.

first try a firmware update from the manufacturer's web sight (look under support heading). you can do this yourself. if that doesn't fix the problem replace the main board.

My tv does the same thing with the small rectangle green light. It will flash for less than a second. I think it is when they are taking a photo of my living room, like when you can take a photo with your xbox kinetic when you jump. Might be aliens. Thanks for any help. getameapizza

Ur Tuner signal board have problems or dead.Ur power LED light indicator stable for a few mins before the power LED light,and the OPC LED light indicators flashes?After the POWER light and OPC light indicators flashes,just push the power button again for the power recycles again.Probally have to pushes the power button 3 or 4 for power light and opc light indicators flashes,the LCD backlght will lght up and work.Sharp tv have this problems alot,very common in Sharp LCD tvs.

Hi there, I've been repairing TV's for over 15 years and I would say either a bad Tcon's or main board issue. Theirs no need to replace capacitors these days, you can get the main board from $40-60. Have you tried using different devices on the unit? If your getting a snowy picture on a satellite receiver, check with your provider for troubleshooting guide their unit.
