PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) Use the vista DVD to go to the repair mode.
2) From the same screen where you do the system restore, there's an option to open an administrative command prompt.
3) That should open in X:\Sources or something like that
4) Go to the windows drive by entering C:
5) Now go to the windows event log folder on your machine (C:\Windows\System32\winevt):
cd c:\windows\system32\winevt
6) ren Logs Logs_bad
7) mkdir Logs
This will create an empty folder for new event logs.

Restart the system. Hope this helps

Pc wil not start. message reads hard disk error

basically your PC cannot detect your hard disk. One common thing is that your IDE or SATA connector got loose. All you have to do is open up your PC case and try to tighten all the connections inside it. Also set your BIOS Settings in default mode.

The laptop seems to work completely fine often for

Identical Problem here, I Managed to make it do it much less frequently by placing on a flat hard, surface and only moving it once in a while, if you listen carefully most people who have this problem hear the fans go a little faster for a second before it shuts down, it has been reported to be solved by buying a new charger that is from the same brand as your original

Vgn-cs16g is shutting down by itself. even laptop

hi there, it may be a virus or a problem with heat sensor. Many laptops have a fail safe built in to shut off the laptop when it registers the CPU being too hot. It prevents damage to the computer. If this is the case, you need to bring it to a computer shop to be repaired. If it is a virus, you may have to have a pro look at the computer.

Vaio VGN-NW23SE no built in microphone indicator

your computer has a built monaural microphone. check your sound settings to make sure the mic is on. if the mic is on and there still isn't any sound on the other end then you might try an external mic. they work better as far as quality anyway.

Hi, you mostly likely lose your driver for your microphone. Unfortunately, Sony doesn't seem to support windows 7 for your computer, only Vista, or at least the drivers for 7 is not on their site. What you could do is Google search you sound card, microphone, and mother board type and see if your can find a third party copies of working drivers for your computer. My Mind is telling me there are more things may not be working on your computer as before. Are they?

Or you may reply to this with the type of sound card and mother board and microphone hardware your computer has and I will try to find it for you.

Or better yet contact Sony, -- I am sure your paid lot of $$$$ for the computer.

I was just browsing around and suddenly it

either your charger/power "brick " has died or the connection on the laptop form the power has broken.. .

best to try going to radio shack, to get a replacement power source,, ask them if you can try it out. ..first to be shure its not you laptop thats dead. .

dont spend more than 50$ on a power supply, , unless its one ofthose multipurpose all in one for multiple item power supplies. ..

I have a vaio laptop which on its screen has been

"Windows 7 will come to the table, from the get-go, with support for all Vista-certified drivers. Compatibility with devices designed for Vista ensures that users will have a seamless upgrade/migration experience." (taken from softopedia.com)

This means that all the "vista compatible drivers" should work on win7 without any problems.

The screen of my sony vaio is stuck on the blue

Worst case scenario, pull the power adapter off the back and pull you battery out, this will shut you down. Let is sit for a bit then put the a battery back in, re-attached the power adapter and try rebooting and see what happens.
Not sure but you may at the very least need to re-install your OS, worst case you could have something defective with yor hardware.

Fingerprint reader activated and has me locked out after reboot

hi

here are some steps to disable finger print reader..

The easiest way to disable the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader’s default operation is to rename the highest level program file.

To do this, the DPAgnt.exe program must first be terminated.

Step 1: Press Control-Alt-Delete, so the Windows Task Manager comes up.

Step 2: From the Windows Task Manager, click on the “Processes” tab.

Step 3: Find and highlight DPAgnt.exe by clicking on it.

Step 4: Right click on DPAgnt.exe, and click on the “End Process” menu, as seen below.

Next, you have to rename the DPAgnt.exe program so it won’t be loaded at boot up time. The Microsoft Fingerprint Reader’s program and driver files are located in the “C:\Program Files\DigitalPersona\Bin” folder on a Windows XP Home or Pro hard disk.

Step 5: Click on the “My Computer” icon on your desktop.

Step 6: Type into the “Address” bar input area, and enter “c:\Program Files\DigitalPersona\Bin”

and hit return.

Step 7: Single click on DPAgnt.exe

Step 8: Right click on DPAgnt.exe. Then click “Rename” from the popup menu.

Step 9: Change the filename from DPAgnt.exe to DPAgnt-BAK.exe.

i hope you do it....

please rate me

thank you.
