Hold The Off Button for 20 sec should make clicking noise switch off at power and on again should be working

14 blinking red lights (standby) sony lcd

I have a brand new sony kdl40xbr6 lcd... it turns on has sound and NO picture and after about 10 seconds goes into standby and blinks 14 times, pauses and repeats ... please help

14 times means the LCD panel is defective. I just had one of those tvs in my shop. Sony will take care of the panel replacement in warranty.

Sony Bravia LCD TV stand by red light flashes 13times

we turn the tv on at wall, use the remote to switch on and the standby light turns on green, you hear a noise like when a cd or dvd loads then the standby light goes red and flashes 13 times a pause then it continues to flash 13 times.

Press the menu button on the side of the TV, not the remote, for several seconds

Is there a super video to hdmi or composite video adaptor? My satellite DVR only has super video output and composite video outpout, and I want to use the DVR with an LCD TV with only composite and hdmi input.

hi,

you can exit the DEMO MODE by the following setup.

Power ON the television

1. select "TV" mode (not AV, demo mode can't switch off when ur in AV)
2. Press the "home" button on the remote.
3. select "settings".
4. select "set up" .
5. Scroll down to "factory setting" and restore them.
6. when it asks home or shop display select "home".
ok

Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.The tv will be resetting back to the factory setting.Now the tv should be working again.If it have the same result.The power supply board is the causes and the problems.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Here'show to turn off the demo mode,

Power ON the television
(Use remote Commander)
1.Select "TV" mode (not AV, demo mode can't switch offwhen you are in AV)
2. Press the "home" button on the remote.
3. Select "settings"

Sony Bravia KLV-40S200A LCD TV standby indicator blinks 5 times

Hi, I have a 5.5 year old Sony Bravia KLV-40S200A LCD TV. Today I cannot switch it on. The standby indicator blinks 5 times, and stops blinking for about 3 seconds, then blinks for 5 times...Could someone advise what's wrong with the TV? Is there something I can do to fix it? I have already tried disconnect the AC power, but it didn't help.

Sony TV model KDL-46Z4100, standby light flashes 14 times, no picture, no sound

Unplugging power is the only way to get it to stop. Plugging it in gives a green light, screen starts to light up in about ten seconds, then there is a click, the screen goes dark, and a red light begins flashing, it flashes 14 times, pauses then flashes 14 times again. It will continue flashing until the TV is unplugged.

14 blinks to Sony Brand LCDs indicates a 'Backend error'. It means that, the main board to this TV should be checked for fault. In most cases the main board might need replacement, and a software update too. If you wish to know more details about this blinking code, check this link. It has details of blinking codes to several brands of TVs including Sony. Actually the work is a skilled one, need experience.
