These are the steps that you would go through if your player is locking up. The cause for this is because with basic MP3 players if you run into a bad file this can cause the player to hang. Some times the only way to recover the player is to do a hard reset. That is what these steps are referencing. The link below covers the resetting process for your player.

Remove random play

go back all the way in the menu till you get to the begining and select music library, then go back to play mode and select normal

When I bought the craative

it sounds like its a backlight problem in the screen.
the only way to get that replaced would be to contact creative and see if they'll do it.
unfortunately it would probably be less expensive to just buy a new mp3 player at this point

My Creative Zen (not sure

When you find the correct model, just click on it and then on the next page click on the SUPPORT tab.

Then click on QUICK START USER GUIDE.

Then click on the red DOWNLOAD button beside EZ USER GUIDE ENGLISH.

Then accept the user agreement prompt.

After you click on that button, it will ask you if you want to open or save the file.
Choose SAVE.

Now Choose a location on your computer where you would like to save the file.
The easiest place is just right on your DESKTOP so it will be easy to find later.
Now click SAVE.

Once the download completes in about 5 seconds,
Click on the OPEN button.

If the document opens then just read it, or print it off if you want, or just leave it on your computer to reference when you need it.

If the document does not open, then you may need a PDF viewer program like ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, the follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I think I would first of all try getting new batteries for the unit and fully charge them up before use. Then, if that is unsuccessful in resolving your audio issues, just check the owner's manual for your unit for the full reset instructions.

hi, do you have a users manual for your zen v plus player?consult your manual to change recording setting.or you can download your manual from this link select the model of your mp3 and save the manual to your computer
There are 3 recording option in your player follow this instruction..

Recording and Encoding Recording with the built-in microphone
  1. Press and hold the Record button to start a voice recording.
  2. While recording, you can press and hold the Back/Options button and select one of the following options:
    • Pause
      Pauses the recording. You can also pause the recording by pressing the Play/Pause button.
    • Stop
      Stops and saves the recording. You can also stop the recording by pressing the Record button.
    • Split
      Ends and saves current recording session, and begins a new one.
  3. Press the Record button to end the voice recording.
    The recorded track is named MIC followed by the date and time of the recording (MIC YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS). For example, if you record a track on March 15, 2004 at 2:57 pm, the track is named MIC 2004-03-15 14:57:00.
  4. To preview your new recording, press the Play/Pause button. To delete it, select Delete Recording.
Tip
  • For a better quality recording, make sure you place your player as close as possible to the source.

How do I remove songs from player?

Follow the directions below

BE SURE NOT TO DELETE YOUR FIRWARE, ONLY THE SONGS,PICTURES, FILES,ETC.
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ANOTHER WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE FILES NEEDED TO OPEN AND PLAY YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Latest Firmware addresses issues that have been noticed by the manufacturer.

Turn off the MP3 player and connect it to the USB port on the back of the PC.

Click Download.
Click Agree.
Click Save to download the file.

After the download, RUN the file by doing a double click on it or in some cases, you will be prompted with a message to run the file.

Choose Upgrade.
A message will tell you if the upgrade is done or complete.
  • If the firmware update could not detect the player being connected, unplug the player and plug it in again.
  • Do not disconnect the player once the firmware update is in progress.
  • When the firmware update is complete, the player will start charging automatically. It will display a charging icon, and the blue power LED will start blinking.
Your device should be working fine after the upgrade.

What route do I take to delete an audio book?

Plugging the player into your computer and deleting the audiobook directly off the device is the best way to do this. It will show up as a removable device and you can navigate to the folder where the audiobook is located and delete.

Zen v plus 2gb -

There should be a detailed user guide on your Installation and Applications CD you had together with your device. Try to find the steps for adjusting contrast step by step while listening the sequence of pressing buttons in the manual. If it isn't succesful or you have not it, try to make reset of your item. Here is a picture where is the reset button:

Language in zen

To reset the language displayed on a ZEN player to English, change the language back to English or run Cleanup from the player.
For detailed instructions on how to access the Recovery Mode of a MP3 player, please see Recovery Mode: What to Do and How to Access.
If the player is a flash based player, such as a ZEN Nano, ZEN Nano Plus or MuVo, the language can be reset by manually changing the language or updating the firmware. To manually change the language:
  1. Press the scroll wheel to access the main menu.
  2. Scroll to the Settings option (the icon looks like a gear).
  3. Scroll to the Language option (the icon looks like a pearson speaking).

Am playing with the screen

you can do a reset to get back to factory defaults but you ay want to save your files somewhere before you do that, otherwise you may lose all of them. there should be a system reset button on the device, you can also try just taking the batteries out and leaving them out for a couple of minutes. If you have the manual to the device, that may help you locate the way to reset it for sure.

Hi, I plugged my Creative

Can you kindly let me know what was the ratings of the charger which you used your phone is made to be charged with 5V DC and 1.5Amps. In case you used a 12V DC adapter then most probably you could have just damaged the charging circuit. and your phone went to self secured mode. My suggestion at present is to remove the battery for a minimum of 15 minutes from the phone alongwith sim and then try to charge it with a proper adapter for a minimum of 8 hrs before trying to switch on the phone.

How to break volume restriction

Boot the ZVM into Recovery Mode and select Cleanup from the menu. This will reset any user defined settings, including the passwords.
To boot the player into Recovery Mode, do the following:
  1. Insert a paperclip, earring stud, or other slender, unbreakable item into the reset hole located at the bottom of the player to press the reset button inside. You should feel a "click" when you've pressed the button. Press and hold the reset button.
  2. While holding the reset button, slide the power switch toward the power icon and hold it there. Let go of the reset button.
  3. When the Zen bootscreen appears, release the power switch.
