Monitor starts up then goes blank, like it's going to sleep mode

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Gateway monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Monitor shuts off while in use

possibly the video card needs to be reseated or the power to the card is intermittent. Also always check for loose connections at monitor and computer.

No power?

You need to open it up, first thing to look for will be the capacitors in the power supply, look for caps wih bulging/leaking. Check the main AC fuse, burnt parts, etc. See example of failed monitors to get the idead what to look for inside:

Gateway FPD 1975W LCD monitor,on light blinking, but wont turn on

I will assume you have already try this monitor with other PC? You should also set the PC VIDEO output resolution to be at native resolution of this monitor, which is 1440x900 @60Hz.

My monitor just died. no picture no nothing. whats

I would try your monitor on another computer to see if it works and/or try a CRT monitor on your computer and reinstall the video card drivers. I have seen a big issue with this lately where the video card drivers are getting corupted. When this happens the computer sends a signal out of range to the monitor causing it to turn off so it does not get damaged.

If your monitor does work on another computer and you need help reinstalling your video card drivers let me know.

Dont have a driver for it

You do not need the monitor driver to use monitor, but you do need correct driver for your video card, but if still want the driver, here they are: http://support.gateway.com/s/MONITOR/7005574R/7005574Rsl.shtml
Just make sure to set the video resolution of your monitor to be at native resolution 1440 x 900 (native)
