Image burn from leaving it on.. Its the vertical colors we get when we disconnect everything.. Its stand by screen.. It won't get worse.. But u either have to replace it.. Or live with it..

Do a factory reset to this set, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). Are you on mute by accident? If not your sound circuit needs repair.Or the power supply line power distribuition.Some voltage is missingto the sound circuit.

Hi In this configration you will not get surround sound. Because tv is not able to reproduse the surround sound through its out put from the HDMI input. You have to connect the HDMI of PS3 to the Onkyo receiver and the HDMI Monitor Out of the Onkyo to the TV. This can only done if the Onkyo AVR Have HDMI IN/OUT option. If not the connect the Optical out of PS3 to any one of the optical input of the Onkyo receiver. After that you have to goto the setup Menu the Onkyo and assing the optical input in wich you have conncted the PS3.Aslo the following setting in PS3 Menu>>> Settings >>> Sound Settings >>> Audio Output Settings >>> Select the connector..= DIGITAL OUTPUT (OPTICAL)Ajin

Your tuner board is the issue here. It can be checked for bad soldier joints, or replaced.

The sattelite box have issues,tries unplug,replug the box back like about an hour later for it to reboot and resetting and upgrading it softwares.This tv problems switching modes to digital and to analog again back and forth should be solved.Still happening the box have problems,call ur sattelite provider change the reciever box.

try autoprogramming at different times. signal may be better during the day than at night, and vice-versa.

Let me know how many times its light flashing after 3 seconds pause, this is an error code that has info about defective section of tv, it will help me to diagnose problem and to suggest solution.
Just to confirm, is it Sony KDL-32S2010 lcd tv as mentioned in question headings or any other model.

Backlight failure. Need new inverter board or panel

I'm afraid, its problem of LCD Panel (screen).
LCD Panel replacement is only solution for this problem and will cost you 70% of TV price, please contact nearest Sony service center for LCD Panel replacement.

Check the caption settings in the menu for your video source, (cable box or satelite reciever), the signal could be originating there.

Dude there is a problem with the ( TV turner card ) some component is being over heated or has leak this card should be changed .
This card feeds the TFT with the voltage needed to glow and picture, sound, so should be checked.

If you get no picture at all, not light is visible on the screen, it may means that the backlight inverter board has gone out, or the power supply that supply the voltage to the inverter board has gone out. Use a flash light flush on the screen to see if you can see any thing at all.
