hi, i have tried connecting my JVC Everio GZ-MG130 Camcorder to my dell laptop which has windows vista home premium installed but after repeated attempts i have failed to make any headway. it recognizes the camcorder but is unable to find and driver for it, while the everio site says vista has the driver inbuilt. plz help

I have he everio GZ-MG130U and still hav the install disc and would be glad to help ny of you that need an install disc,should work with 225u 155u and f course 130u

i lost my cd and i can install the product software into my computer
I have a JVC GZ-MG130 complete with the CD Rom disk that came with it, If this is of any help to anyone I can send a email link where this can be down loaded the files are all zipped up and are 560mg in size just unzip or winrar and burn you will have an exact copy of mine.

Hi my screen says video management file is broken reset required. I pressed the button and an hour glass rotates and it says reset complete but then it keeps on doing this and will not let me record. I can view through the screen but am unable to record it simply ignores any further commands. I can take still images but no video.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Ok i had the same problem, this is what i did I hooked up my camera to my pc via usb and wenyt into the cameras harddrive itself and noticed that one floder that i would click on said that it was corrupted that floders name is EXTMOV i made a new folder on my desktop named EXTMOV and remaned the Folder on the camera EXTMOV1 then dragged the new EXTMOV folder on the camera I got the same message that the video management file needed to be fixed went through the process and now the camera works!

Just installed software that came with DCR-SR85 and having trouble downloading video. When double click handycam utility, gets error message about "unable to retrieve management information"
Took me a lot of cursing, and it's very simple. On your camera's screen there are 2 options saying "USB Connect". Only when you look really closely do you see that the 1st one is for the hard disk and the second is for a memory card. I expect you are using the wrong one..I was!

How do you delete unwanted PC media files stored from a JVC Everio MG130 Camera? I need to free up some room as I have a number of video shots I would like to delete off my PC hard drive.
Answer:what you do is you press the play/record button on the left side of the camcorder when it is open to get to the videos. then you use the laser touch operation to scroll to the video you want to delete. then, right under the screen there should be 5 buttons. the one to the left of the menu button has a picture of a garbage can looking thing above it. just press that and then press yes when it asks you if your sure.

Hi, I bought this JVC Everio cam in January 2008, but now I wanted to backup the files to the pc and I can't find the software disk. I'm not sure whether it wasn't in the box at all (cause I can't remember anything about a disk) or I just lost it. Is there a site where I can download this software?
Can you download the Everio Disc that came with JVC Hybrid camera?, the disc is not available to men now.

There is a program i heard of halled trackercam but for somereason it doesnt work with my jvc, im not sure why.
