The manufacturer does not list a driver on their site http://www.optomausa.com/Product_detail.asp?product_id=24, I would follow the user guide on plugging in the projector.

If i hold the fn button down my keyboard works,

It would appear that you have number lock turned on. Try turning it off by pressing and holding Fn key and then F10/F11/F12 key (can't remember which one is for number lock). That should release your keyboard back to normal.

Toshiba satelitte a135 can the usb

HI:
The USB ports are part of the motherboard, and you would have to replace the whole thing, which can get expensive.

They do sell a USB card that wil plug into your PCMCIA card slot , on your laptop that would get you some new, working ports.

My volume on my laptop isnt working.. theres a

If you have a red/white "x" on the volume icon next to the clock in the system tray then most likely the driver to the audio device is either damaged or the driver is corrupted or missing. Go to support.toshiba.com and go to download and look up your model. Change the filter to "sound" and look for a new audio driver. Download and install and this should fix your problem.

Replacing CCFL Tube

I've repaired 1000+ Toshiba and replacing the FL tube is something I would never attempt to do because of how hard they make it to do. Generally there is a FL Inverter below the LCD that goes bad which causes the backlight not to light up correctly. The actual FL tube rarely breaks and unless you know you dropped the laptop it probably isn't what is wrong. 95% of the time when the backlight isn't lit up it is the FL inverter board.

I forgot my power on password for my Toshiba Labtop

The power-on password cannot be removed -- this is a "security" feature to prevent a thief from using your lappptop, after stealing it from you.

Find the original sales-receipt, to prove that you are the owner, and telephone Toshiba, and ask them for assistance.

The only thing that can be done besides replacing the fan ( no small job) is to get a can of air and blow out the fans and all open spaces. make sure it is unplugged and battery removed and it's shut off and dont shake the air can or it will foam your computer.

GMA 4082n device driver not working properly code 39

Hi, the error code that you have is a known issue from Microsoft that needs a registry tweaks. Error code means "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39)". You can click on this link for your reference http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461/en-us

To resolve this problem, remove the affected filter drivers. To do this, follow these steps:1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
2. Locate, and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Caution There can be many instances of the registry subkey that is mentioned in step 2. You must make sure that you are in the appropriate registry subkey before modifying the UpperFilters and the LowerFilters values. To verify that you are in the appropriate registry subkey, make sure that the Default data value is DVD/CD-ROM and the Class data value is CDROM.
3. In the right pane, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete.
4. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the UpperFilters registry entry.
5. In the right pane, right-click LowerFilters, and then click Delete.
6. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the LowerFilters registry entry.

This will surely help you resolve your issue. Good Luck!!!

When i try to boot my toshiba it goes to a windows

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

The only option here is to restore your computer to factory settings. You will lose all of your information including pictures, music, etc.

Are you running Windows Vista? If so, turn the computer on, press F4, choose advanced and you will see the option to do a factory restore. You can aslo try the other options first such as windows restore and it may fix the file.

Last resort is the factory restore but you are at that point.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

DONT KNOW WHERE MY CMOS BATTERY IS ON MY SATELLITE

You will have to open up the '**** shell' and remove all of the B25 and F6 screws from the bottom, as well as the B16 and B6 screws under the keyboard. To remove the keyboard, I had to pry up the trim piece that holds the power button and remove three screws. Be careful of the wireless wire leads, as you'll be tempted rip them out!

The CMOS battery will be under the right side of the hand rest, next to the mouse. It has two leads and the battery is in a blue 'bag'.
