Six blinks means No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206.

If the green light stay's on but no picture, meaning black screen! Then you have a bad back light inverter. You can order this at www.shopjimmy.com, select sony then your model number.

If you are somewhat handy you could do it yourself! but it requirestaken tv fully apart. There are a lot of screws that should be baggedseparate as you go along. To ensure tv can be reassembled. follow thesesteps or have a expert do it!

1) remove shell (casing)
2) remove second layer, this will have your signal boards on it (a/v etc...)
3the back light inverter has a metal cover over it, with very tinyscrews. Also you will see multiple wire plugs going into it. Usuallywhite/pink or white/blue.

First, change the batteries on the remote with e new set of batteries. Check to see if you can bring up the menu using the buttons on the TV itself. Let me know what happens

Try pressing the TV/Video button. The problem could be that the TV is set to an input with no source.

If you are turning off your TV by basically unplugging it (turning off the AC power supply) then you will not hear the click of the solenoid which is activated normally by the Power button. The glow may well be the after effects of the screen being on for some period of time. Quite literally the "afterglow". This should be very faint and fade after some time.

Sony offered to replace my new TV with a used TV. Somehow, Sony thinks this is a fair exchange. Of course, I rejected that unacceptable screwing. I requested a full refund instead. When I receive a response, I will contact FixYa. Sony is the most dispicable company I have ever dealt with. They make a band of Gypsies look honest.

its a display problem.

It depends upon the room size and how you have placed the tv. if u position it in a proper manner then you will have a clear view.

hi. its enough that you can change the display alone for your sony tv.

It sounds like either the remote is bad, or this TV may have a "showroom" setting to keep people from messing with th TV while it is on display. I would download the manual to see if it mentions a showroom setting, if not, try a new remote

its not repairable/replacable. but may still be watchable.

Perform a master reset by doing the following:
Turn the TV On
With the original Sony remote, hold down the "up" button in the 4 direction buttons (uo, down, left, right)
While holding down the up button on the remote, press the power button on the TV (not the one on the remote)
The TV should reset and restart, asking you which language you wish to use.
After choosing the language, let the TV do an auto program and you should be OK

9 flashes indicates a panel error, either the panel itself or the TCON board is bad. the solution is the same for both, replace the panel (the TCON board is supplied with the panel). I daresay the cost of the part would exceed the value of the TV

I had that same problem, I finally figured out that on my COX cable remote there is a "zoom" key, hit that and it should go back to normal.

hi,hoping that the cable connections are right(check the cable connections once again)..... Sounds like you may have a problem with the video driver boards? I would call up the store where you bought it and ask for a new set or service on this one.
More than likely this is a bad display (lcd screen) the drivers in the lcd display have some problem...... the tv is just a month old so you are still under the warranty period....... just contact the sony outluet where you purchased or the manufacturer for servicing of tv

Unplug the TV for a while and hopefully, that should reset the circuity. If you're using the original remote control, check for the display button and press it. I would also suggest doing a factory reset if your TV has that feature and if the TV allows you to do it after unplugging it.

The front and back pieces are like a clam shell and are compression fit with tabs into one another. You need to use something like a guitar pick or spudger to separate the pieces. Dont use metal objects due to damage that will happen to the plastic .
