Well, I don't think FixYa sent you the new replacement, but it was supposed to be sent by Kodak I guess. Anyway, here's the instructions on how to remove/install or in other words, how to replace the printhead.
- Verify that the printer is turned on and there are no error conditions.
- Open the printer access door and allow the printhead carriage to move to the center position.
- Remove the black and color ink cartridges.
- Disconnect the printhead by pressing the button in the upper-left corner of the carriage, then remove the printhead.
- Insert the printhead into the carriage.
- Place your thumb over the target label and push in firmly with your right thumb until you hear a loud snap.
- Check that the latch captures the printhead.
- Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead.
- Press down on the color ink cartridge until you hear it click into position.
- Repeat Steps 8-9 for the black ink cartridge.
- Close the printhead access door.
*Follow upto step 5 to remove the printhead, I just included the remaining steps for your information.

My calibration page printed on
When you calibrate the 5100 AIO, first, you push in the photo paper drawer until it CLICKS. Next, print an alignment sheet. It will use the photo paper. Pull the drawer out, put the printed sheet in the scanner bed, with the arrow in the right hand corner, closest to you. Press start and it will scan and print a sheet on full sized paper.
If your initial scan doesn't print onto photo paper, you don't have the drawer pushed in the whole way. There is a definite click and the green light will turn on.
I just changed my ink
Dear User,
Good Day!
Check your photo paper setting in your PC it maybe the problem and not your newly installed cartridges. Or maybe your cartridge is only a compatible and not he original one.
Thank you...
Hi I have a
If you hold the Battery Lid closed and the camera tries to come on, only to show the red light, the battery lid is probably not your problem, but it is possible. Usually if the battery lid isn't closed all the way, or opens during camera operation, the camera will shut off entirely.
- Check you memory card
or the lock button on the camera.
- Remove the memory card and see if the camera will turn on.
- This can also be caused by using the wrong batteries or and incompatible or corrupted memory card is inserted.
- It could also be due to an internal error in the camera.
- Check to see if the
lens of the camera looks jammed or
sticks when it tries to cut on.
- For parts, repair, etc., contact Kodak here: Click here

I replaced by color ink
remove the cartridge and clean the nosil of the cartridge carefully, you check the nosil by taking an image on tisue paper before putting in to printer. On papper all three color will apper, red ,blue and yellow
Printer will not work.
Unplug the printer from the power and USB, Pull the paper tray in and out a few times, then plug the power and USB back in. If this does not work unplug it again, pull the tray out and look for a switch somewhere in the paper trays hole. this could be damaged or not triggering correctly. You may be able to rectify this by wedging the switch closed. Turning the printer upside down will help locate the switch.
